Boosted by the confidence of their victory over the Blues, and faced with an understrength Cricket Web Black, the Greens romped to a 133-run win in Pickford. Jack McNamara took a career best of 5 for 43 to script the famous result. CW Black struggled with the ball and then never looked likely to chase a large target of 287.
Openers Nick Scott and Ben Read got off to a brisk start and took 15 from the third over, bowled by Nath Patrick. Dave Richards entered for the 15th over to slow the pace of the innings, but by the end of the 20th over CW Green stood on 112-0. The pressure of Richards paid off in the next over, however, and Read was caught at short cover for 48. Malone (3) was another quick casualty, and CW Green seemed in free fall when Scott skied a catch to Patrick at long leg, out for 65. But with a bit of luck, Martyn Corrin (53) and Callum Dinnen (53) got the innings back on track. The former was bowled off a noball and the latter dropped during their partnership of 92. And after the partnership was broken, Andrew Garven guided the close of the innings, which featured dramatics from the hand of Matt Smith. In the form of his season, he went on to take 6 wickets to help limit the score to 286-9.
Such a total was too great for the weakened Blacks. Captain Dan Smith looked in top form at the top of the innings, but he was bowled by McNamara for 41, and CW Black slumped to 76-5. Josh Forner joined into the party with 3 wickets of his own, and during the 39th over the Blacks were all out for 153.

Rob Bowen scored his maiden list-A ton to power a total of 290-7 and enable a 22-run win for Cricket Web Blue over Cricket Web Red. The opener hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in the 142-ball innings, and despite the typical fightback by Martin West (4 for 36) down the stretch, the Blues dominated with the bat after being inserted at the toss. CW Red used six bowlers to try to contain the Blue attack, but only West kept his composure and all other bowlers went at greater than 5 per over. Raghav and Nayak combined for figures of 10-0-80-0.
The response from CW Red was set back by the wicket of James Robertston (6) in the second over. The confident Jamee Gray arrived at the crease, but could not build any genuine momentum. He was caught off Popat for 24, and the required rate was then over 6.5. Briefly David Kearsley injected life into game with 3 big sixes off the Blue spinners, and he raced to 33 from 24 balls and then as trapped lbw by Demeza. Matt Luff stayed in and moved on to a positive half-century, while Zac Ritchie tried to give support and get the innings back on track. At 148-3 they seemed to have done so, then Manan Shah took 3 quick wickets to offset the balance.
The requirement was well over 7 at that point and though Mørk and Nayak built an attack, CW Red could not keep up with the pace. Mørk ultimately checked out for 45 from 47 balls, and gave way to some late innings fireworks that added some respectability to the innings. But on 268-8, time ran out.

For the second time in as many games, South African Justin Kemp guided a close Masters XI run chase to defeat Cricket Web Colts. The Colts had managed just 203 all out, but put in an admirable effort in their attempts to defend it. The margin of victory was just 3 wickets, and Justin Kemp supplied 22 not out in a lowscoring game.
Colts got off to a terrible start due to Shane Bond's expert use of the new ball. Both openers failed and left Will Kerr to play another of his magical rearguard innings. He accounted for 73 runs of the team total, facing 123 balls to do so. For a time it looked that the Colts would not even cross 200, however, until Andy Pimpkins thrice cleared the ropes in an exciting cameo of 23. Surprisingly enough, the key bowler was Thomas Odoyo. The Kenyan finished with 4 for 45.
Kyle Wright realized a big effort was needed to bring the game home for Colts. And his opening spell, full of heart, reflected that understanding. In his first over, Wright took a stunning return catch to deal with Imran Farhat (1), then followed with the wicket of Wavell Hinds for 6, playing onto offstump. He almost added Lara to the bag too, but Towns dropped the chance at slip and the Masters XI captain survived to score a crucial half-century. Lara and Klusener put on 128 to make the chase very easy in due time. Myles Hutchinson accounted for both batsmen and Wright dismissed Dale Benkenstein cheaply, but it just seemed the Colts had too little to defend. Nathan Spinks took 2 wickets in 2 balls and livened up the game one more time, then Shane Warne slashed a wide noball from Andy Pimpkins to the boundary for four, winning the game.
