Young slips hooking

Taking a page out of the Marc Robbins injury methods book, Pete Young went down with a slipped disc whilst playing a hook shot against Travis Demeza in the nets. Blue vice-captain, Sean Fuller commented on the incident, "It's all fun and games until someone attempts a hook shot off of Trav, slips a disc and collapses in a heap of pain."

Young will miss 11 matches.
11 matches or 11 match days?

Man, that's a shocker. Big Trav notches another one up. :p

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Nearly had them Colts. Good fight back from the tail in our innings and we got close to seeing them off. Oh well.

Go Colts!

YES!

GREAT STUFF BLUES! Liam great game mate, simply stunning! Halsey was tops once again while the rest of the bowlers all returned solid figures!

Very happy with my 45 because it was part of an 82 run opening stand with Liam that set up our innings. Then Dinu took over with Liam and all but got us there! Well done boys!

Nath.. come on! :D

Neil that was quiet Yuk! Good showing by Butler and Dubb-Lynch with the willow. Ian and Stedders just to good with the bat.

Heads up Blacks.

 One day...

Liam and Tom were great with the ball, and then with Liam and Andy`s opening partnership, with a little bit of help from De Silva (:p) we got home. Well done, great team effort. Hopefully I can hit my lengths for the rest of the season.

great couple of wins there reds to keep us right up amongst it in both forms of the games...

As far as the test against green went it was great to fire up after being ripped up in the first innings. The funniest part was H Mork scoring 84 off 300 and yours truley scoring 70 off 67....

The OD match against Black was once again pleasing. Great to help set up the win with Stedman at the top with another 200+ run opening stand... WAHOO keep em coming.

Cricket Web Blue vs Cricket Web Colts
at Goffmouth Park

Yet another brilliant clutch performance from Ben Wilshere sealed a classic last over win for CW Blue over the Colts. Wilshere only scored 11 runs, but hit a six off the second ball of the final over with 4 runs needed from the last 5 balls.

It was an excellent chase from the Blues all the way down, set up by the strokeplay of Andrew Cloete and Liam Camps at the top of the order. Brendon Goff signed his return from injury with a quick duck, but Dinu DeSilva rose to the occasion under pressure.

Hancock took crucial wickets for the Colts, but he and Comley struggled to contain the Blue batsmen after the excellent work of Wright and McKern. A total of 248 just wasn't enough for the home side to defend, though they fought to the very end.

Earlier the Colts chose to bat first on the friendly Goffmouth Park wicket. Camps bowled well at the start and then at the death, but Jasotharan's half-century was followed up by a couple of busy innings from Burke and Comley down the order.

On a rare occasion Nath Patrick failed at the end of the innings, but the disappointing middle order showing from the Colts told as much as needed in the final result.

Cricket Web Colts 247 ao (49.5 overs)
Cricket Web Blue 250/6 (49.2 overs)

Cricket Web Blue won by 4 wickets.
