You'll Never Walk Alone
Argh, sorry, shocking bowling. Amazing innings by Fuller and De Silva, and a superb comeback by Adam.

Nah, you did well. Remember that the last 10 overs of their innings they only scored 55 runs, while we got 91. That's where we won the game, along with some excellent tight bowling in the middle overs from Sudeep and Adam, and you had a hand in that bowling some good overs at the death.

Anyway, time to repeat your performance from the first FC game against the Colts in a couple of days. ;)

Hahah, thanks. Should be an interesting encounter, we don`t really know what to expect from these new kids. I`m looking forward to bowling to Towns.

A bit of advice, Sledge him about his hair. He has terrible "hawk wings" and he hates it. You'll get to him that way, trust me.

Just a suggestion here, but I think we should use the English county cricket scoring system for the first class season this year.

It's much more in depth than the "15 points for a win" deal we have now, and I think it's a good one and will add a bit more to the games if we get down to the last round or two and a team knows "we've got to make 400 in the first innings AND win to make the final" or whatever. I'm sure if it's a hassle to work out the points someone would be willing to do it, it's really quite simple.

Thoughts?

I like the WCC points system better, tbh.

See http://www.cricketweb.net/worldclubcricket/stats/division1-4d.shtml

The only thing I'd change is to give 12 points for a win and two for a draw.

Having already set up my own personal table and stats for the all teams so far (hey, I can't help being a stats nerd....) so far using the english county system the current standings would be :
Green 19 points
Blue 19 points
Colts 18 points
Black 8 points (from 2 games)
Red 5 points

I think this is a great system, it is simple, rewarding and also contains uniformity.
Only major difference between this and that other system Hakon suggested is the other system rewards extremely aggressive bowling sides more so. I guess this is why the english use this method ;) (ha ha, who would have thought an aussie would sledge the poms? :P)

Also, if anyone wants to know any stat for the season, just ask. I am tabulated, in exhessive detail, both forms of the game. Mainly the things the sim's don't pick up, like dropped catches and averages vs individual teams etc etc.

Would be fun to have somewhere mid-season - don't publish too much of it, tho, because then people get used to it ;)

Gotta admit, stats are pretty interesting things to work with.

Got any info on Red dropped catches this season? :p

True, i am still crying over the whole 'loss of the ashes' thing, but hey...i'll slowly get over it.

Yeah, valid. There is a **** load of work involved with maintaining the stats manually as is.
If I post it regularily it would just be taken for granted ;)

If he doesn't like his hair so much, why not shave it off?
