Good win Reds, some great batting from pretty much everyone, and good bowling from Watt and Loganathan. Am personally disappointed with my performances so far this season, 1/52 isn't that great, hopefully I can improve.
I thought you bowled quite well considering how flat the pitch was, also you did get the important wicket of Towns.

Good stuff Reds, Terrible stuff by me personally, really need to get into the nets and bowl myself back into form

Agree that the non-internationals stepped up. It's amazing that Dave isn't playing CW XI, you could almost say we're lucky :p

Hmmm another poor result we just need to get some confidance back and then we'll be ok.

Wow, Towns just justified his vice-captaincy with that knock. Really well.
The team played well. Keep up the good work, Colts!

Ok fellas, we're getting there, slowly but surely. Unfortunately we've shown we're very capable of getting bowled out for extremely low totals, but looking through the team, we could also score some huge totals. Just need the batsmen to get it together.

On a personal note, it's good to finally get a decent innings under my belt, after a below-par(shithouse) start to the year.

Yes, and he does :huh: note our win against us.
We wont play a dud vice-captain, either.
How does hitting a century justify vice-captaincy? Yes, he's a good leader (oh, no doubt, Mr Stats Keeper :D), but he's justified his spot as vice captain, IMO, by the way he's helped all you Colts out...

Oh well, I guess different people have views on captaincy :p

I thought I answered this :huh:

Wouldn't vice-captaincy be justified by showing good leadership?
Yes, yes it is. I've said it (without using proper English :P ) and you've said it. He's a good vice and he plays well to boot. Like I say, we wont play a dud.

A good vice captain has to be able to make it into the starting XI, something I failed to do last season. You don't really get to do any kind of leading (or vice-leading) from the sidelines in cricket, at least not in my books (although I've been known to do it anyway :D).

As for my 100, about bloody time I got one in a game at this level that actually counts! But as for the end result, aww, crud. :( How Wright didn't manage his full 10 overs I don't know, as he was the most economical bowler... other than that, there were a few good things in that match we can build on, but a lot of things we need to completely rework for the next game. Let's get it sorted, guys.

Well donw BoB, fantastic effort. I find it hard to believe how you didn't get man of the match

Also, congrats to the Reds. Better on the day.

That's largely because of Hancock. He had a good spell going and only imploded at the very end. Thomas then came on to fill in the one over needed between himself and Hancock at the end, but he came him on at the wrong end. Thus, Hancock had to bowl one more over if only to allow Wright to bowl the 50th, which he did superbly.

Bad luck Colts. Was always going to be tough losing the toss, our bowlers didn't step up on this occasion, which was disapointing, if they had I think we would have won the game, especially if we had of broken that last partnership.

Well done to the batsman, Daniel in particular. 283 was going to be tough task for our inexperienced batsman, but there are promising signs.

We need to dust ourselves off for our next game.

M.J. Robbins
* unbeaten half-century at far more than a run-a-ball
* a wicket
* winning captain

D.P. Towns
* century
* no wickets
* losing vice-captain

Surely not that hard to figure out why Robbins was favoured.

On another point, it must be noted how sharp Jamee was with the gloves.

Go Jamee.

To be honest Man of the Match is meaningless to me - nice to get the honour, but the win is the most important thing.
