Cricket Web Blue vs Cricket Web Red
at the CW Oval
Cricket Web Red grabbed defeat from the firm grasp of victory at the Oval, as Matt Smith starred with the ball in a rampant display of reverse swing. Smith produced a spell of 5 for 13 and the Reds tumbled from 162-3 to 198 all out in pursuit of 210.
The collapse was triggered, however, by Matt Currie. Bowling as effectively as he has all season, he tied down the Red batsmen, then essayed the breakthrough with an armball against Thamba Mamesh. Smith removed Robbins and Dwyer in the following over, and Currie returned to dismiss the dangerman Dauth. Suddenly the Reds were crumbling to the most unlikely of defeats and ultimately lost their last 7 wickets for 36 runs.
Earlier it was Sean Fuller who kept the Blues in good stead. Cloete and Goff combined for 14 runs between then, meaning that Fuller was needed to hold the innings together. He did so in a big way, scoring a mature and determined 71 where the next best score was Armstrong's 29.
CW Blue got to a total of 208 all out, and given the drama under lights later on, it proved a defendable one. Adding to his value and sealing the Man of the Match award, Fuller then claimed two wickets in the Blue bowling effort.
Cricket Web Blue 208 all out (46.3 overs)
SE Fuller 71, GAJ Armstrong 29; DJ Watt 3-40
Cricket Web Red 198 all out (46.4 overs)
MD Luff 57, I Markus 30; MS Smith 5-35
Cricket Web Blue won by 10 runs.

Cricket Web Colts vs Cricket Web Green
at the CWBCC Stadium
It was the defining moment of his career to date without a doubt. As Tarick Weber flat batted his former teammate Xavier Rose over the long-on boundary for six, he could hardly contain his joy. Yes, it was a bold and arrogant shot which was executed to perfection, and brought up a greatly deserved maiden OD ton.
Weber had run out of time to reach the milestone just 3 games ago, against Blue, but made sure that he would not be twice unlucky. The innings was constructed beautifully. Despite losing partners at regular intervals, Weber never gave in. Instead he played carefully at the start - 69 runs from his first 125 balls - then accelerated in an explosion - 50 runs off the last 28.
By the time he gave in with a tired slog to deep midwicket, Weber had compiled 119 runs and dominated the Colts total of 238-9. He hit 4 sixes in the process and rightfully received a standing ovation, with Garven and his men also applauding his success.
The Greens set out to chase the sporting total, but were frustratingly met with the figure of Weber again. This time operating in his more accostumed role, he strung the Green batsmen up with his spin and capped an incredible individual performance with figures of 3-36. Nitin Dravid threatened to steal victory for the Greens regardless, but he was accounted for by Kyle Wright and the game sunk with him.
Cricket Web Colts 238-9 (50 overs)

Cricket Web Green 223-7 (50 overs)
