I'd like to be in Green
but if theres no space for me put me in with Neil's Blacks

You're more likely to end up at Green. I think Neil's preference would be George Roberts as far as an additional legspinner goes (for obvious reasons), and I doubt he'd want a third specialist leggie on the squad. If you were to convert to seam/medium-fast, a deal may be arranged though...33/3from3.3 said:I'd like to be in Green

Keep an eye on this thread. You'll be assigned to a team within the next 24-48 hours, as will every other rookie.TIF said:Can I get in as a part of any team. I do not mind as to for who I get to play for.
Why should you be allowed to change what you do?33/3from3.3 said:hhhhmmmmm so how bout if i get in Green im a leggie
and if need be i'll be medium pace for the blacks or keeper if they need one
p.s. are the 'obvious' reasons that he's had more game time than me??
Players who have not yet played any matches will be allowed to change their bowling style out of necessity - too many spinners about. However, there's no turning back once the change is made. At this stage any such change will not result in a depreciation of skill, but if anyone changes bowling style after being officially entered into the system, skill will be affected.marc71178 said:Why should you be allowed to change what you do?
I like the sounds of that rumour, i guess my recriutment drive been working.Mr Mxyzptlk said:Some Colts players will be on the move to assist the balance of other teams (seeing as logic dictates that the Colts won't get as many international callups) and therefore some of the new signups will move into the Colts.
Rumour has it that Thamba Mamesh will be signing on with Cricket Web Red for Season X.
I think Reds might need some extra batsmen after the inactively of Zafar Mohmamad(sp) and Karthik's retirement. But i guess Thamba might feel that requirement if the rumours are true.Mr Mxyzptlk said:Red doesn't have much room for another batsman at the moment. That said, someone may leave Red to open a spot.
There is not too many spinners around, there just not enough turnersMr Mxyzptlk said:Players who have not yet played any matches will be allowed to change their bowling style out of necessity - too many spinners about
Most of the new signups are spinners. The problem is that every team (bar the Colts perhaps) has a couple of established spinners about.chaminda_00 said:There is not too many spinners around, there just not enough turners
There no reason why you can't play three spinners if the pitch is good enough....Mr Mxyzptlk said:Most of the new signups are spinners. The problem is that every team (bar the Colts perhaps) has a couple of established spinners about.
Blue - Halsey and Popat (though Popat may be on the move to allow more opportunities for Currie)
Green - Weber and Verghese (though Verghese isn't a specialist really)
Black - Pickup and Richards
Red - Bennett (and I suspect Loganathan will be getting more chances this season)
Colts - Comley and McNamara
The most likely place for a new spinner to get solid game time is at Green. The Colts may also be an option.
I'm very much doubting any team will be willing to play 3 spinners bar one or two matches in the season.chaminda_00 said:There no reason why you can't play three spinners if the pitch is good enough....
There will be nothing good about the pitch if it turns enough to play three spinnerschaminda_00 said:There no reason why you can't play three spinners if the pitch is good enough....
Yeah probably, but hopefully more teams play more then one spinners like last season. The only time i recall a long term use of two spinners was when Neil wasn't on international duty and he partnered Dave.Mr Mxyzptlk said:I'm very much doubting any team will be willing to play 3 spinners bar one or two matches in the season.
Thanks for the clarification.Mr Mxyzptlk said:Some Colts players will be on the move to assist the balance of other teams (seeing as logic dictates that the Colts won't get as many international callups) and therefore some of the new signups will move into the Colts..
You heard wrongMr Mxyzptlk said:The obvious reasons are that he's outbowled everyone in Club Cricket this Offseason. I've heard he's better than Chuck Norris.
I'm with Greg. Unless nobody else really wants an opening batsman allrounder then I may as well stay. It's a good team.NZTailender said:I would like to stay at Colts if that is possible
