This is a misrepresentation to say the least.

Rangers elected to charge for media access this year. So literally anyone with £25,000 to spare can have access to press conferences and call themselves a media partner.

This has got the mainstream media up here quite annoyed as they no longer have the same privileged access they used to, and there's been a lot of whingeing as a result.

The 'media partner' in question is the biggest fan podcast who stumped up the cash at the start of the season to get a bit more access to the club. So the story here is 'football fan who volunteered to put out a podcast for years may have had some bad takes previously on Twitter.'

That's not to defend some of what has allegedly been tweeted, but it's not like Rangers have chosen to give control of our media output to someone with a questionable past.

It's also not for Rangers to trawl through the Tweets of media personnel who aren't directly employed by the club.

I'm pretty sure we took inappropriate shirts as well as we thought Switzerland would be freezing cold.

The second part is definitely true. And the first part probably is. Still, looking on the bright side, at least they didn't lose to the USA in their first WC.

I don't think we're out of our depth, we're in bad form and not playing particularly well. We gave a decent account of ourselves against Lyon, it was the sort of tight game we'd have taken a point in or won last season.
