Interesting you should say that....

A few weeks back there were rumors that Booker T was in discussions with WWE about a possible return. To add fuel to that fire is the news that the six-time world champion has canceled his scheduled appearance at this weekend's New Orleans Comic Con at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Regarding a surprise appearance at Sunday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view, he was in discussions with World Wrestling Entertainment officials a few weeks ago regarding a potential return as noted above.

What a Royal Rumble match this year! Loved it from start to finish. Without spoiling anything, I loved the opening of the match, the surprises that came through and the ending was pretty memorable too. Brilliant show. It's very interesting to see how this goes on from here and how the Wrestlemania card will shape up.

I wonder what will happen on Raw tomorrow. Any chance of the couple of surprise people in the Royal Rumble showing up for Raw? I'd certainly hope so. Also it seems that a few matches for Wrestlemania are already set so it'll be interesting to see how they build on those.

Also when are we going to ever find out who this Raw General Manager is? I'm guessing they're going to hold off on announcing it until they can get someone like Mick Foley back once his TNA contract runs out in which he's publically stated that he has no interest in renewing.

I gather Booker T has signed a new deal with WWE, and so he should be around in some capacity for a while. he's said he wants a non-wrestling role...so you never know. I think hes after a position as an announcer primarily though. Which would be awesome, would love to see that.

Also....no HHH as yet...is surely only a matter of time now... Wouldn't be surprised to see him back tonight actually. But having said that, I wonder where he will fit in. The product is so strong at the moment that I don't think he has really been missed much at all. Though a roster of any sort would always be poorer for having lost guys like HBK and Batista, Taker and HHH etc... Jericho as well... It's a huge credit to the WWE that other than thinking "ah yes, Jericho and HBK, WAG" I haven't for one moment really missed either of them any more than in a nostalgic way, I honestly don't think things could have been a lot better had they been around. Having said that I would always welcome them both back in a heartbeat, but y'know.

**** yes, that was a great Rumble. Easily my favourite event of the year and the only one I never miss without fail, even over Wrestlemania. So massively stoked for the guy who won, was who I wanted. Surprise entries were obv awesome as well. Wasn't sure how the 40 man was going to play out tbh but I think they worked it really well, wonder if it's going to be the standard going forward? Will have to wait and see I guess. Definitely be checking out RAW tonight.

If that is true then that would be a dream match of epic proportions! Wrestlemania would become a must see event. I really hope that it's true and that we can see this dream match happen.
