Old school Raw was so awesome this week. Best Raw of the year! So many legends, a lot of great surprises and the opening video package, the music, set, everything was old school. It was a fantastic show.

More interesting that Hogan is down at #23

FTR I don't think either of the two you mentioned, or Race and Steamboat have any business being above HHH on a 'top 50 WWE superstars' list. Race if you're including NWA, fair enough. Steamboat? Not with Flair down where he is.

But meh, it's all political so not worth getting into too heavy a discussion about.

Though maybe we could have a battle of the pro-wrestlers, who would be up for it if I ran one?
That list looks like Triple H came up with it himself and was being humble by putting himself at number 12.

As far as another battle of the pro-wrestlers, go for it! That would be fantastic to participate in.

Yeah, in firm agreement here. One of the best parts of the show for mine.

As most of you know by now, Shawn "HBK" Michaels returned to the road last week to promote ticket sales for WrestleMania XXVII in Atlanta, Georgia. Both he and Triple H made numerous public appearances throughout the city last week, with HBK addressing his current WWE status in interviews. Michaels said he was happy with his career and that he went out on top. He was asked to help promote the event since most of the top WWE stars were overseas touring. He obviously agreed to do so.

Company officials want to continue utilizing Michaels as they are hopeful he returns at the event to appear as a special guest referee for a match involving The Undertaker. Creative has a storyline in mind where Michaels would have the opportunity to gain revenge on The Deadman by ending his undefeated streak at WrestleMania. However, said plans are extremely tentative due to the SmackDown! star recently undergoing shoulder surgery. It's said to be touch-and-go on whether he'll be healthy enough to compete in a singles match at the event.
Oh yeah, come on Vince, make it happen.

Three-hour Raw often drag, this one did in a way but it had much much gold in there. Swagger-Bryan had a classic, and the commentary was off the charts.

I will look at doing that battle at the weekend :)

Haha a Wrestlemania where Michaels is the special referee trying to ruin the Undertaker's streak would be epic. You could see him hitting the superkick and The Undertaker still not going down and Michaels just having to give him the win out of admiration after a huge match.

Would like to watch Survivor Series live but not going to pay for it so will have to wait til Monday. For the 1st time in ages genuinely have no idea what is gonna happen in the main event even been rumours of Cena heel turn would be good thing for the storyline & could set up some new fueds but I can't see Vince messing with his cash cow.

Survivor Series is shaping up to be one of the best PPV's of the year. Every match seems like a must watch and the main event with Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett with John Cena as the Special Referee is one of the best built up angles in recent memory. I have no idea who is going to win that match or what John Cena is going to do which is very exciting.

I'll offer my brief predictions for the event:

John Morrison vs Sheamus: Sheamus wins
Divas 2 on 1 Handicap Match: Natalya wins
Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel vs Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov: Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel win
Team Mysterio vs Team Del Rio: Team Mysterio win
Dolph Ziggler vs Kaval: Dolph Ziggler wins
Daniel Bryan vs Ted DiBiase: Daniel Bryan wins
Kane vs Edge: Kane wins
Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett with John Cena as Special Referee: Wade Barrett wins

Enjoy the show guys.

Yeah, can't wait for it.

My tips:

John Morrison vs Sheamus: Morrison wins
Divas 2 on 1 Handicap Match: Layla wins
Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel vs Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov: Nexus win
Team Mysterio vs Team Del Rio: Team Del Rio win (Alberto is the sole survivor)
Dolph Ziggler vs Kaval: Dolph Ziggler wins
Daniel Bryan vs Ted DiBiase: Daniel Bryan wins
Kane vs Edge: Edge wins
Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett with John Cena as Special Referee: Wade Barrett wins

Haha, didn't realise there was only one survivor series teag team match, not that I'm particularly bothered by this. Good looking card though. Not sure how a lot of the matches will turn out, but I'll give my predictions as well.

Not sure who will win out of Morrison and Sheamus, I would say both guys could do with a win here, but if they put on a good match (and they certainly have the potential to) then I don't think either of them will suffer from the loss....Sheamus to win...

Would say Nexus are definitely winning the tag team match against Santino and Kozlov, might be entertaining though.

Imagine team Del Rio will win, and his push will continue. Expect it will defo come down to him and Rey as the last two, though that said Rey is meant to be a bit ill at the moment so his ring activity might be limited...

Ziggler probably likely to beat Kaval as well, though has the potential to be a great match if booked well. Could be the match of the night imo if it's given enough time.

Bryan to beat DiBiase.

Kane and Edge is a bit of a tough one to call, but I think Kane will probably retain, maybe dropping the title to Edge at the next PPV in a rematch.

Main event is a bit of a deadlock for me, keep making up my mind one way and then changing it to the other. I'm trying to put the Cena gets fired stip to the back of my mind, as he's clearly going nowhere. But inspite of that I don't think it's a clear cut Barrett win....hmmmm. I think the time is right for Barrett to take the strap...and everything indicates that he will, so I'll give him my backing. But the E have been doing a lot of unexpected booking over the last year or so, so really anything could happen here. In any case though, I'd expect Barrett to be world champion within 2-3 months.

Jericho reportedly backstage at RAW tonight, VITSL. Wouldn't rule out a HHH return either. Going to be a must watch show tbh.

Haha holy **** what an end to a show. After Orton/Barrett I was thinking to myself "Huh, match is over a bit early isn't it, should still be time left on RAW..." AWESOMEEEEEE! "**** yes!" So gun. Miz era ftw. Counter of the RKO into the SCF was awesome as well. Glad I remembered to catch the show.

edit: Also, love Punk on commentary he is hilarious. When he called whichever Bella it was a 4 I was rolling up.

Survivor Series was a great show and Raw was absolutely amazing. Solid two shows back to back. It'll be interesting to see how long they keep John Cena away. The guy has been going non stop for 9 years as he said and if there is anyone who deserves a break, it's him.

I think that this angle is a kind of thank you given to Cena by WWE for all these years of loyal service. At the same time, the main event is now feeling fresh with all these new stars coming through and a new King of the Ring to be crowned. Exciting times in WWE at the moment, especially if you are a supporter of the younger stars.

I think he's gone away to begin filming his next wwe movie tbh. So much as he deserves a rest, I'm not sure if he'll really get one.

From his promo tonight, it certainly did seem like he is going to take a little break anyway. He mentioned how he's looking forward to being home for his mom's birthday and being there to see his new born niece and got pretty emotional about it too. It's absolutely a work but the promo was so good and effective that I actually felt that he's going to be taking a break. He deserves one after all these years.
