I agree he can't be good at everything. But one HAS to be good at something, which I'm afraid Randall might not be. :p

Backlash Predictions anyone?

Here's mine:

Batista went over in the best way possible by beating Trips clean at Mania. Since then H has tried to assert his dominance continually but has been stopped by Batista on all occasions. This worries me as the feud has been so lopsided in Batista's favour that Trips may force him to do the job back, making his reign and initial push worthless. Despite that Batista hasn't been impressive at all as champion in my opinion. He can't cut a promo and needs an extremely good worker as an opponent to carry him through matches. With Trips needing an operation on his neck I don't see a good match happening here.

Prediction : Batista , but Trips might feel he needs a job back especially as he had to lose to JR and was made to look like a coward all feud.

The Arabs are on a major role and are now pretty firmly entrenched as the most over heels in the company. This includes Triple H and JBL, the heat these two get is amazing and the matches they're putting on have been solid too. Good booking would see them go over the two legends and shoot Hassan to a title or two, possibly challenging Shelton/Jericho for his Intercontinental Championship before moving up the card. They're owed a job as well as the faces got the upper hand in the last encounter on RAW where HBK was saved by Hogan.

Having said that Michaels and Hogan are notorious for not doing the job and with Shawn tapping out to Angle at Mania I'm not sure he'll do a clean job two PPV's in a row. They'll want to preserve Hassan's streak so if the faces go over then we'll probably see Daivari getting pinned.

Prediction: Michaels/Hogan even though Hassan going over would get him major heat for his push.

This one I'm definitely looking forward to. Their past matches have been awesome and the feud is developing nicely. The only confuisng thing here is trying to figure out who the heel is? Shelton has done the whole attack behind their back thing while Jericho has gone back to his old heelish style promo's and look. I'm not too sure who to cheer or boo but at least the match will be intense.

Prediction: Y2J, hopefully so he can go and feud with Hassan afterwards

This is another match I'm looking forward to. But like the Y2J/Shelton feud this one has been real stop start with no real clear momentum or character defining roles been set. Any match with Benoit in it will be great and Edge is really getting over as a heel, although it may have more to do with the Matt/Lita/Edge situation than his wrestling persona.

Prediction: Edge is the WWE's new golden boy with his money in the bank contract and they can't have him looking weak. Benoit to do the right thing for the business again. Either that or we'll get our standard Last Man Standing ending with both men counted out.

Wtf    !?!?!

This match looks like a good old fashioned time waster but I've been hilariously riveted by Big Vis' contribution to RAW these last two weeks. Kane isn't being given any incentive to win while we know what Viscera gets should he get the pin.

Prediction: Big Vis just so he can continue this ridiculous storyline with Trish.

TAG TEAM TURMOIL:The Heart Throbs vs. La Resistance vs. The Hurricane & Rosey vs. Simon Dean & Maven vs. William Regal & Tajiri

Match just added, I don't really care but we'll probably see the new gay couple The Heart Throbs win.

Orton continues tradition
By Lucinda Resnick

Growing up, it was only natural for Randy Orton to want to become a professional wrestler.

After all, his grandfather Bob Orton Sr. and father “Cowboy” Bob Orton Jr. had been successful in the business.

“Most of the other guys in the business were wrestling fans before they became wrestlers,” Orton said last month, during a promotional tour of the Quad-Cities. “For me, it was a part of my life.”

Batista, right, and Triple H — two of the WWE stars on the card for “Raw” at The Mark of the Quad-Cities on Monday — compete in Wrestlemania last Sunday in Los Angeles.

Orton said he traveled with his father to shows and “a lot of the guys who wrestled with him would come over to the house when they were in town.”

But, while his father got him a start in wrestling, the 6-foot-4, 245-pound Orton said he has had to work hard to stay in the World Wrestling Federation.

“I learned quicker and faster than most,” the 24-year-old native of St. Louis said.

He was signed to a WWE developmental contract at age 19 and after two years of training, was called up to do shows.

Now, Orton said, “I’m professional enough that I can go into the ring with any of the guys and have a good 30-minute match.”

That means he has to work out whenever he gets time and stay on a healthy diet.

And any talk of steroid use to add bulk was dismissed immediately by Orton.

“If you do drugs, you’re fired,” he said. “If you mess around, there are 1,000 other guys just as good as you are waiting to take your place.”

Orton began as a “heel” or bad guy in the business and earned the nickname “Legend Killer” by defeating various superstars in the ring.

He slowly turned into “a face” or a good personality after a feud with his fellow Evolution members Ric Flair, Triple H and Batista.

“Evolution got me where I am today. Being part of that group was a good thing for me,” Orton said, admitting he would have rather stayed a heel.

“It’s easier to get the fans to dislike you. I prefer being a bad guy definitely, but it’s not up to me in the scheme of things.”

Orton’s most recent bout — against another legend, the Undertaker, at Wrestlemania last weekend — ended in a loss.

The event also put an already ailing Orton out of action indefinitely. He was scheduled to undergo surgery on his left shoulder and will be unable to wrestle at “Raw” Monday at The Mark of the Quad-Cities, Moline.

Injuries are nothing new for Orton, who last August became the youngest heavyweight champion in WWE history at age 24.

That’s why he gets angry when people say that wrestling is not real.

“I can’t stand hearing that it’s fake,” he said, thumbing through a WWE program and listing the injuries of all the wrestlers in the book.

Orton has had both shoulders surgically repaired, his left foot “was mangled. I busted my ear drum in Japan. I fractured my orbital socket. I’ve broken my nose two or three times. I’ve had five concussions — three serious — and I’m only 24.”

Once, during his favorite match — against Mick Foley — he landed on a ring full of thumbtacks. “I had them stuck all over my body,” he said.

So why does he put his body through so much pain? Orton smiled and pointed to his $40,000 Rolex watch.

“I’m going to give it my all until I have enough money to retire. I want to do it until I can barely walk and then live off the pain I put my body through,” he said.

Those are some good predictions duffer, mine are I think just about the same. Batista, HBK/Hogan, Viscera, Edge and Jericho to win.

I'm still hoping against hope HBK turns heel against Hogan and superkicks him in the jaw allowing Daivari and Hassan to win!

But this is the WWE, they hardly show anything which is exciting.

I'm tempted to use the phrase - horse manure - here. :D:D:D

I'll refrain from using that phrase though, because despite all the other tripe, he did make the above smart comment.

I think that this wont happen, unless it is after the match.

I'm still hoping a few of my predictions are wrong, eg the Hassan match and the Jericho match but the WWE doesn't really shock or surprise anymore like you said.

A HBK heel turn would be awesome, but I don't think he can do it to Hogan as Hollywood can't wrestle even on a part time schedule due to his age now, I'd love the heels to win this one but for some reason I don't see it.

Also it looks like they're setting up a Hell in a cell match at Vengeance for Trips and Batista which would be horrible as their feud is getting stale and we don't need the same guys in the Main Event three times in a row especially when one of them is piss poor in the ring. Also if there's no way Triple H will job thrice to one guy so we'd know where the belt was heading back to.

The card actually looks pretty soldi if you take away the ME and the Viscera match. I reckon there's some great/good workers in the Tag Team match, so if they're given enough time they could put on a great match.

@Piper : Orton is a fag anyway, you got no chance with him :p

Duffer, as a member of the gay community myself, I object to your usage of the word 'fag'. I would ask that you please temper this in the future.

Thankyou,
Gerard Armstrong.

I was watching the repeat telecast of a recent RAW and I again got to watch the Sweet-Chin Music Shelton got from Shawn...I just couldn't close my mouth,it was wide open for a while the first time I watched it....

The Sweet-Chin Music to Randall Orton during the Ric Flair-Shawn Michaels match is also stuck in my memory...which of the moves is your favorite and which was your favorite moment of wrestling?

the shot of the spring off the ropes and into the sweet chin music is memorable, helped to end a great match.

I think Cena's finishing move he did on the Bashams on Smackdown, was a mix of his finisher and the michinoku driver, and was aimed at JBL.
