Hmmm, so AJ is the new TNA world champion, that's good, hopefully we see something fresh now. Would rather have seen Matt Morgan win it, but this is the next best outcome.

It's a step in the right direction. AJ Styles is a great person to build a company around. He's a fantastic wrestler, a very decent guy and buy all accounts a clean athlete. Vey happy for AJ Styles and I hope he has a good run with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

I think this is best for Kurt Angle as well. He really needs a break from wrestling and his contract with TNA is expiring at the end of September. I hope he doesn't sign and takes a break away from wrestling completely.

I think the fact that Kurt Angle might be indicating that he won't sign could be a factor of AJ Styles winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. The best thing would be for Kurt Angle to rest up and take a break. However, he could be negotiating with WWE for a return so it will be interesting to see what Kurt Angle does if he is thinking about not signing with TNA.

After DX left, they started playing the Eisley Brothers song "I've Had The Time Of My Life" for Lillian. Her fiancé then came out to the ring and they started dancing to the song while in the ring. Lillian left and then shook hands with the fans. This was truly a great moment.
A nice touch, I feared that Lilian hay have ended up on the end of a Vickie Guerrero style send off, pleased to find out this was not the case. Though I've never been a massive fan of Lilian, I will miss her, as she's pretty much been announcing RAW for as long as I've been watching it, always did a good job of doing the national anthem at Wrestlemanias as well. Wish her all the best, a good servant to the company.

Chavo Guerrero posted a few messages on his Twitter account (twitter.com/mexwarrior) defending his ongoing storyline with Hornswoggle. "You all realize that it's not wrestling anymore, right?" Guerrero wrote. "It's entertainment. Sometimes I wonder by your comments. You guys realize that I can out "wrestle" most guys in the WWE, right? The way you guys respond makes me think that you actually think I'm losing. It makes me think I'm responding to RETARDS! We're not the UFC. It's not real. I can beat up a midget any day of the week and so could you. But who wants to see that?"
Oh dear Chavo, somehow missing the point that him getting beaten by a midget is NOT entertaining and insulting fans all in one go, nice.

WWE has sent out another survey to fans, asking their opinion on name for an upcoming PPV where the main events are all Elimination Chamber matches. The choices are:

* Elimination Chamber
* No Way Out
* Battle Chamber
* Heavy Metal
* Chamber of Conflict

It would appear that the February PPV, traditionally the No Way Out PPV, which has been hosting the Elimination Chamber, is the PPV they are considering the change for.
Oh not, not another PPV of this sort, dire.

Well No Way Out already is an Elimination Chamber PPV, but **** me dead they are horrible names. Chamber of Conflict?! Heavy Metal?!?! Elimination Chamber?!?!?!

Did they have a five minute deadline or something?

Remember there was a particularly bad one for the submission PPV as well, can't recall what it was but it's a good thing they went with breaking point. Then again don't expect much from the 'E in terms of naming **** anyway, can't remember whose book it was in but I remember someone writing about Stone Cold's debut with the company and when he told them what kind of character he was going to be playing and wanted something cold sounding as a name they sent him back a bunch of ideas with utterly dire **** like Mr. Frosty and the Snowman and all this stuff, pretty hilarious to look back on now but they really are awful in that respect. Geniunely surprises me that they actually became as successful as they have been when you hear some of this ****

barely been following it recently anyway other than keeping up with news and results on websites, got no interest in it whatsoever at the moment. though, few rumours been cropping up lately that Bret Hart will be coming back for an on-screen role, no idea how true that is and personally not even sure if it would be a good move with Bret's health and all, no idea how he'll perform or what he'll be like but I doubt he'll be anything like the Hitman we remember so can't really see why they'd want him back. That said, if it's true it'll definitely have me watching.

Yeah, I'd also watch if he made a comeback, but I'd also eat my hat if he did, would be alsolutely staggered if he ever appeared live on a WWE broadcast in anything other than a hall of fame type capacity.

Apparently Smackdown this week was excellent, sounds like a great show. A tribute package to Eddie Guerrero and a segment involving the Rock. Will be sure to get a hold of this.

No predictions for this evening? I don't really get an opportunity to watch any of it anymore, so you guys are my primary source of information :p
Enjoy reading what you have to say.

Haven't seen much in the last few weeks, will check it out later and make some predictions. Bit underwhelmed by the concept tbh.

Haha is it actually tonight? Had completely forgotten about it tbh. I won't be watching, but expect the results will largely be fairly predictable. Might post a match by match prediction later on if I cbf.

Ok, quick run through of how I think tonight will go, though I very much doubt I will watch any.

* R-Truth vs. Drew McIntyre - Probs ought to be a fairly reasonable match between two very competent workers. Should be quite entertaining actually if they actually give it any time, which given the nature of the event is probably quite unlikely. McIntyre has been on a roll as of late, and as he is pretty much debuting in the E at the moment I predict he will be given the victory so that he can benefit from the rub.

* WWE US Title Match: Kofi Kingston © vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger - Should be another good match. Kofi hasn't really done a lot with the US title, so can see his run coming to an end. Swagger has been dominating Evan Bourne in recent weeks so can see him picking up another victory with this one. Don't really mind who wins, but would hope that all of them come out of this match looking good and not at all buried, so much future talent in this match.

* WWE IC Title Match: John Morrison © vs. Dolph Ziggler - Bit of a tough one to call. Would be Ziggler's third PPV loss in a row which would bury him somewhat if he lost, but Morrison hasn't really held the strap for all that long, and a defeat here could harm all the good work done recently to put him over. I think Ziggler might steal this one, probably through some controversial method and keep the feud running.
* WWE Divas Title Match: Mickie James © vs. Alicia Fox - Oh god, don't care, hope it's short, and not in the cell.

* Unified Tag Team Title Match: Chris Jericho and The Big Show © vs. Batista and Rey Mysterio - As Jericho is in this match it is bound to be at least passable. Jericho will make Batista look absolutely awesome and his matches with Rey this year were top drawer, so I expect this will be a good one. Jericho and Show have held the tag titles for a while now, so ordinarily I would say they would drop them here. However, as Batista has been brought back to bolster the Smackdown Main Event I imagine this is just a filler feud for him, so I expect to see Jericho and Show walking away with the gold. Either that or they lose and win the titles back on the next Smackdown or something...

* Hell in a Cell Match: DX vs. Legacy - Really think there is no way that DX will lose twice in a row, so I expect Legacy to be put over quite well again but for DX to get the victory.

* WWE Title Hell in a Cell Match: John Cena © vs. Randy Orton
- Surely has to be Cena, can't see Orton getting the strap back again, esspecially seeing as this feud has been going on for months now. Cena to win with some interesting spot move I imagine, and that'll be the end of that, and onto something new.

* World Title Hell in a Cell Match: CM Punk © vs. The Undertaker - Apparently the word backstage is that the Undertaker will be taking this one, I myself cannot see it though. If Taker is as injured as everyone on the internet says he is, then I can't see the logic in putting the strap on him. I hope (and expect) that Punk will be taking this one, and in the process will be put over to the moon.

Edit: Surely they could have found a place on the card for an ECW match, no Christian on the card is pretty dissapointing. Don't know why they bother with Divas matches anymore tbh. I don't think any real wrestling fan enjoys watching the WWE's style of Diva wrestling (for the most part anyway, as in, any match that does not involve Gail KIm or Melina), and they can hardly use the "T&A" excuse, as apparently they are aimed at kids these days, very bizarre.

McIntyre V R-Truth
Pleased to see these getting some PPV time, should be a decent match. Can't see anything other than a Drew McIntyre win, they seem quite keen on him. Glad R-Truth is on PPV though, can't remember the last time and he's good.

US Title Match
It's been a decent little feud running between these guys, and like the IC belt, some good work has been done this year to restore the title to a position of relative importance. Like sledger, I'm not too fussed who wins and I can't see any of them coming out of it looking bad unless the booking is disastrous. Tipping The Miz here.

Morrison V Ziggler
Who in the blue hell is Dolph Ziggler? :D
This has had a good build, probably my two favourite young wrestlers, this could be the match of the night. Hard one to call but I think Morrison will take it, although I'd argue he doesn't really need the IC belt as he should be going to the next level, and he only won the title because Mysterio got that suspension. Ah well, I still think he'll win.

Women's Match
No

Tag titles
Well this should be decent, Jericho has been doing a great job with the tag belts and I expect that to continue for a little while longer yet.

DX V Legacy
Same as sledger, can't expect DX to lose here plus this should be the blow-off and therefore the faces should get the win. The last two matches have been bloody brilliant so as long as we get more of the same then I'm happy.

John Cena V Randy Orton
Bit of trivia for you, this will be the first ever HIAC match in WWE that didn't include either Undertaker or Triple H. There is no way they can better last month's effort, which was one of the matches of the year, but I still think they can go to a decent match. Cena will take it.

BM Punk V Undertaker
Expecting another decent match, hope they have a better one than last month. Mate of mine has a theory that we are going to get Undertaker-Vince at Mania next year, I'm tipping some kind of Vinnie Mac involvement that keeps the belt on Bowel Movement Punk.

I actually think this will be a decent show now I've gone through the card, plus I saw Smackdown earlier and it was AWESOME. I :wub: The Rock.

» During his appearance on Bubba the Love Sponge recently, Hulk Hogan had some high praise for both Edge and Chris Jericho, more so with Jericho. Hogan said he didn't really get the popularity of Jericho when he first came back to WWE, but eventually was begging Vince to let them work together because Jericho was "so amazing and such a complete wrestler." He added that Jericho was so good that he would let him be the ring general and call their matches and he would love to work with him exclusively.
This is quite interesting actually. As if this is true, it is one of the few things I can think of which would make me want to see another Hogan match. Would have been a nice addition to last years WM tbh, would have been perfect in fact.

I'm pretty certain that's what they were shooting for until Hogan had back surgery. I know they were talking Hogan/Cena, but Jericho/Hogan would have fit the storyline so much better than Piper, Steamboat and Snuka.
