Some people saying we'll now see if Sting really was a draw. Bit unfair seeing he hasn't had any screen presence for over a decade imo. He drew in WCW.

I think the Invasion suffers a bit from hindsight being 20/20 tbh.

Sure, looking back it looks like a bit of a disaster, and in many ways it really was (i.e. the way in which the WCW/ECW guys were booked to look like complete clowns, heavy involvement of the McMahons, the way the words "WCW" and "ECW" were phased out and replaced with "Alliance" - the top stars of which were WWF guys like Austin, Angle, Christian...and Test...). But at the time, as a kid I was mega-hooked on it, and the whole thing was extremely over. There were some great moments/matches during the whole thing as well. RVD and Jeff Hardy had some great matches for instance, as did Jericho and Rock, and Austin vs Angle was good too, and the singles career of Edge basically began then too.

Nah **** off it was a mess. It was just run by a bunch of WWE guys. Look at the final Survivor Series match.

The fact it was over and worked with them bundling it (look at the Invasion PPV numbers, were huge) means they'd have absolutely made a **** load of cash if they did it even remotely well.
