just about every type of match can be good, and this will probably be a different style of triple threat than normal, but i turned off the stream when it was announced at the US show.

Sort of? Why is Cody getting a 2nd title shot this year? He just won the US title like 45 minutes before. If they didn't wanna burn the Ibushi rematch so soon they could've done something fun like give Yano his shot for beating Kenny in the G1, especially with the big angles being in other matches.

Cody is fine, not good but he is an anchor around the neck of this match. However, 3-ways are almost always bad IMO and this isn't a new opinion of mine. The only one I can think of from the the top of my head that's a genuinely great match is the first AJ vs Joe vs Daniels one from TNA. The second one was okay.

Yeah fair. I tend to enjoy them from the sense that they're generally a lot of fun -- either from a bullshit spots or a story point of view. But for pure wrestling, yeah, can't go past a singles match.

Match was pretty good, if I rated matches I'd give it somewhere in the realm of ***1/2. I can't get past the contrived nature of all offence in 3-way matches.

I can waive away anything by saying "exhibition match" and that they wanted to create a scenario where Kenny again cost Ibushi the title. Basically this tweet sums it up:

I don't like that they did it of course, I feel like they could have wronged Ibushi another way, but oh well
