They don't look great, but Angle can sort of get through his old repertoire. It's really the in between, the general walking and stuff, where he looks like a geriatric. His knees must be in even worse shape than his neck or something. It's really jarring seeing this shrunken man hobble around when you've got fit dudes like Balor, Orton, etc. smoothly doing stuff.

Honestly, Triple H looked his age as well, which makes it all the more annoying that he's found a way to make it all about him again.

Yeah, meant to support this earlier as well. Absolutely right. Somehow it's hidden a lot better when he's in suit/GM mode (probably because the camera doesn't show him walking much and he is usually standing still), but I started by wondering if I had missed something on an earlier show which meant he now had to sell an injury, but then just realised this is just his legit default gait these days. Dire.

At least he's not at Bret Hart levels of not being able to take a bump etc. But seriously, the guy must be absolutely shot physically.

The ladies champ match was a mess, having Charlotte as underdog in that match against the all conquering er Bliss is just silly even for wrestling. I like Bliss but she had have been face in that match. A mess really.

Actually thought it was a very decent match but I agree with how Bliss has been booked. It's ruined her reign completely... chickenshit Alexa Bliss would have been so good.But in matches she just dominates the rest of the division.

Trips v Strowman would be a dull match, but at least the build up would be Strowman throwing around people non stop which to be fair is what he excels at. Its definitely a concern when it comes to him however, no matter how entertaining he can be, he needs to be in multi men matches or gimmick matches to hide his limitations as a worker. Roman for all his flaws is much more trustworthy in a normal one v one match.

Yeah Alexa as the chicken **** heel is the way to go, hopefully they cop that soon enough, because she is clearly talented enough to make that really work.

I'd agree regarding Cena and Orton also, I assumed if they were getting Cena back they would use him to set up a match in a few months, nope not even that. If Cena is going to be part time he has to be used more sensibly than last night, because that sort of booking hurts his star power.

Yeah this is really hard to understand, especially because in the ring she is really really ordinary. Not Enzo Amore levels of ordinary (i.e. completely ****), but absolutely nothing to write home about, so it makes no sense for her to be booked like she has been at the expense of others who...can actually wrestle.

She's absolute money as a character and on the mic, but as soon as she gets in the ring I usually switch off. Twisted Bliss is always cool though.

Strowman is good 1 v 1 with a good opponent imo. I think we've seen enough evidence of that to at least give him the benefit of the doubt. Though yeah, probably easier to make him look good in multi-man matches.

And yeah, completely agree RE: Cena. Guy comes in out of the blue to be inserted into a fairly hot angle to play a big part, comes out, goes through the motions, the champ is here, throws out a couple of lazy looking moves, no intensity, still pins Joe clean, then gets eliminated and gets out of dodge as quick as you'll ever see him move.

Tbf to him, like I said earlier, given that he was not involved in the build to this at all, I guess not being interested would be understandable. But why, if they were going to include him at all, did they not have it at least mean something? If booked right they could have instigated about 5 new and interesting feuds from this match. There was so much scope for the telling of new stories. But no, muh McMahon family feud.

And another thing about that main event. It went on for so ****ing long.

Rolling my eyes at Finn apparently being ditched for the Royal Rumble main event because he's "not over enough".

Yeah, that's what happens when you have someone get squashed by Kane and booked like crap. Have to despair at this ****ing company some of the time. Wins and losses don't matter my ass.

NXT was a really good but not excellent show. Velveteen v. Black and War games were four star matches, the rest was reasonably engaging but it really missed having one of those Sasha-Bayley, Revival, Zayn v. Anyone type of MOTY candidate matches which really elevates the show. 7.5/10

Survivor Series had two good matches - AJ v. Brock which i really enjoyed even though i thought the first 7-8 out of 16 minutes witj AJ getting zero offence was a bit much. It was a million times better than Brock's match with Ambrose but nowhere on the level of the his match with Punk or the RR triple threat, would give it 3 and a half. New Day v. Shield was another really solid 3 fiddy. Most everything else was dull, overproduced nonsense. Five ****ing commentators, really? and the amount of times every man and his dog went "the only time of the year raw and smackdown go head to head in in ring competition", jesus ****ing christ. At least play around with words a little. It smells so bad like a Vince directive. In the remaining matches, I thought both the 5 on 5 matches were actively bad and the other matches had some good wrestling but were largely uninspiring. 4/10.

Just that one squash against Mojo and Zach makes me want to see heel Bludgeon bros vs. cool face Usos. Reckon it’d be bloody stellar.

Pretty meh episode of RAW on the whole I thought. Match between Drifter and Roman was good though.

Wyatt "breaking" Matt could be good for both of them. I don't mean in the sense I want them to feud, maybe a few more Wyatt and Matt interactions and then entirely separate paths. Wyatt or Broken Matt really can't afford to lose to the other, but Wyatt having a lasting mental effect on a wrestler? That'd be fantastic. Everytime the average punter sees Wyatt on screen they can think about how he made Matt Hardy go crazy and start talking about deities and his broken wisdom.

Hardy will be able to get it over.
