Why did they pin Bayley again? Weren't they trying to give her a redemption arc before the shoulder injury? What value does that bring? I thought Emma was there exclusively to eat the pin.

Good show but Reigns kicking out of 4 AAs was lame. Genuinely one of the least protected finishers in all of wrestling.

Very disappointed with Cena-Reigns. Not even going to get into how stupid it was that Reigns kicks out of a billion AAs and wins with one spear... But even apart from that, it was pretty dull. The intensity from some of the promos didn't seem to be reflected in the actual match and it never really got intense enough. Meh.

TBF I think when Roman aggressively forced Cena t DDT him through a table he was giving him a "spear".

Thoughts:

1. The Miz is brilliant. I'd love this his 'heel who happens to be right, just overly dickish' thing transitions into 'face who is right, and is overly dickish to heels' for a while. Bloke is a hero.
2. Cesaro wafg.
3. Wanted to see Emma go over there; hopefully she wins the belt at some point. Would have thought a transitional run could have worked nicely to debut Asuka with a title win.
4. I know 'pls Cena heel turn' has been a thing for the last decade, but fmd he really should have turned there. Wasn't good enough, needs to unlock something else or get left behind etc etc. Writes itself.
5. Enzo winning that way is fine. Neville can complain about Enzo's cheating, tell 205 Live where to go, and move back to the main roster; he's done all he can in purple. Meanwhile someone else can knock over Enzo in the next match and we're back to business as usual.
6. Should have needed more than one F5 to keep Braun down, and I would have switched the belt. Braun to have a run of three with Brock -- win here, defend at TLC in a tables match or something, lose back to Brock at the RR as Brock learns -- and the Brock-Roman WM story is still do-able.

I agree that Neville should be moved out of the cruiserweight division, the guy is way too good to be stuck in it. So talented.

But him losing to Enzo is just awful. I get that it wasn't clean, but **** me, Enzo has been made out to be the biggest loser in all of the E for months now. The guy is a ****** worker and just an all-round goon. He shouldn't be beating a supposedly serious guy in basically any circumstances. This makes Neville and the belt look like absolute ****.

Should have just put the belt back on TJP or something. Or literally anyone other than Enzo tbh.

Whatever it takes!!!
I am wondering if the similarity between the way things went down at WM after Reigns beat Taker and yesterday after Reigns beat Cena was a co-incidence, or WWE actually planting seeds for next year's Mania Taker match...

In theory, Neville losing to a chickenshit heel is fine, and I think it's a great role for Enzo. But Enzo has been made to look like a joke for weeks now, getting his ass beat again and again. And then he goes and wins the cruiserweight title. I wonder what that tells us about what they think of the division. They know what they're doing.

1 & 2. Wholeheartedly agree.
3. Wishful thinking. It was never (and mostly likely never will) go to Emma. Nia, Bayley, Sasha and Alexa will stuff around in heatless matches until Asuka takes the belt (now who's the wishful thinker eh)
4. The only way to ever turn Cena heel was to have him cheat to break the Undertaker's streak at WM.
5. Neville vs. Balor please. Get Bray a million miles from Finn.
6. The match was basically the exact same match he had against Joe. It was pointless.

Eh, I kinda agree with you, but at the same time there's literally nobody credible enough to take the belt off Neville. I honestly reckon, at the level Neville is at compared to the rest of the 205 Live roster, it would hurt him more to drop it to a 'serious' contender like TJP than it does for him to lose it in a dirty finish to a complete dweeb who got dominated the entire match. He's beaten them all fifty times over without breaking a sweat. It makes no logical sense for him to drop the belt to an existing 205 Live-r.

The only people who could believably go over him in anything vaguely resembling clean/not-cheap are massive outside stars who should stay the **** away from the purple brand.

If Enzo successfully defends this, I'm fully on board with you. It's stupid. But if it's transitional to get the title back into circulation in 205 Live, I can cop it. Still not ideal, but understandable.

Bad outfit tonight this Finn. Does Bray win matches anymore?
Haha what do you mean, anymore?

You can probably count the important matches this guy has won in his entire career on less than one hand.

I don't dislike the guy especially, but I am really sick of his endless droning cryptic promos about what a devil/badass he is, only for then to lose all the time.

Solomonster's "Eater of Pins" and "New face of Failure" nicknames for him are so apt.

I am fully on board with Neville vs Balor as long as nothing purple goes within a million miles of it.

Re the women, you're definitely right -- the belt will sit in stasis between the four of them until they (maybe) give Asuka the moment. But it could be so much more interesting! Emma sneaking one there could give three meaningful women's programs (which is three more than they've had in the last year).

- Nia takes out Alexa during her re-match. They feud.
- Sasha gets the shits with Bayley for costing her the title (hopefully the emphasis on Bayley breaking up Sasha's pins only to get pinned herself plays into something, but it's WWE, so it won't), turns heel, they re-do the NXT thing.
- Emma laughs at Mickie James for a month and gets steamrolled by Askua.

With Bray if you want to do smoke and mirrors you got to win. I recall him cutting a fantastic face promo a few years ago, could be some interest in that as he is pretty worthless atm.

Taker is not coming back unless broke and Cena won't turn heel ever, think we see less and less of him over next few years, got plenty of less stressful and profitable work he can do outside the ring now.

More I think about it, they really missed a great opportunity with Braun last night, over as **** and a dominant win would have absolutely launched him and would have been something fresh. However Brock got to be strong so his loss to Roman means everything!

Eh, at this stage I think Bray's well and truly settled into a ring general/jobber to the stars role. Picks up just enough wins to keep a veneer of legitimacy, gives a change of storyline pace, and gives you an easy way to build up the mental strength of the upper card guys.

It feels like he should be so much more, but eh, he is what he is. Mankind meets Dolph Ziggler.
