Strong vs. Young - fine
Dunne vs. Bate - WWE MOTY
Women's Triple Threat - below par
Roode vs. Itami - Roodes best effort so far
AOP vs. DIY - spotfest in a good way, the DIY story is going to last for years

I'd be very very very surprised if it got 5 stars. I don't see it happening at all. It strikes me as Zayn/Nakamura all over again in that regard (although at least Bate/Dunne will probably be the best wrestling match of the weekend). And anyway "If it's a 5 star match to you it's a 5 star match"

it'd be pretty hilarious if WWE's first 5 star match in ages was a match which, beyond saying no piledrivers, was pretty clearly barely influenced by WWE agents/booking though. I'm not sure how exactly the agenting of the match would go for these guys and their unique contract situations, but there were a couple of things that happened that I don't think they'd be allowed to do if they were actual full time guys . And the match was better for it.

Yeah wouldn't be suprised to see Meltzer give it a 4.5 or 4.75, but FMD it was an incredible showing from two very young men. Makes me wonder if the UK fulltime show will be given a similar amount of freedom.

yeah what was with randy trying his best to break the necks of those brothers

as for the match, hey anything that gets the title off randy is good. hopefully he loses the rematch too

Jinder Mahal

3W -20 L - 2016 on Raw/Main Event and Superstars

A man with only one singles PPV match before tonight, where he was squashed by Cesaro at Fastlane...

is now WWE champion.

I hate Randy as much as the next warmblooded smark, but come on. This just makes everyone look stupid. Kayfabe Jinder is a total scrub, and he has two tiny goons helping him out. CBF anymore really.

Haha I didn't know his finisher is called the khalaas

Hope he gets nuclear heat. Anything better than Randy, I don't mind this.

And that's why I'm ok with this. I'm long past this point with WWE. You've got Naka in the opener & AJ losing to cables. You had Luke Harper being the only good part of the Randy/Bray thing, and now he's back doing Wyatt family bullshit against the jobber. The whole place is ****ed. Wins and loses don't matter.

Once you don't care anymore, I think Jinder becomes a far better option than Randy

I don't mind Jinder. I remember watching him in the original revamped NXT against Rollins for the championship, and thinking that he could have a good career. But they made him an absolute jobber. Now he is champion?

But this has been ridiculous. How do you buy it? Someone explain it to me. If he was a jobber on Raw, does that just mean Smackdown is that bad if he can win the title so easily?
