Haha enjoyed that finishing sequence a lot. Countered into a rainmaker, kept hold of him, rainmaker. Taunts, camera zoom, rainmaker attempt, Fale counters, ducks counter and Germans the **** out of him. Rainmaker. Win.

> be the rainmaker
> get handed a Coors Light beer during the celebration
> immediately put it down after the toast and never touch it again

I don't know how they get there but I really think Naito should either go into WK12 the champion or win it at the event. He's too good and too popular to be out of the title picture for long.

Are things already looking a bit worrying for Tye Dillinger?

Don't get me wrong, I think he's great, but I (and quite a few others, based on a quick Google survey) predicted that his perfect 10 thing might struggle to do anywhere on the main roster, and based on the fairly muted reception he's received on the last few weeks of SD I'm beginning to wonder if that prediction might bear fruit sooner rather than later.

I don't watch NXT so knew nothing about him before he debuted.

Honestly, he hasn't done anything for me so far. Will give him a chance though, but he hasn't given me a reason to like him, love him or hate him just yet.

Tye will probably get a feud that he will almost certainly lose against a higher placed heel on the card, I think thats when we'll see if the gimmick sinks or swims. My money is on Ziggler after Ziggler gets his teeth kicked out by Nakamura.

They need to flesh out his character a bit on the main roster. He doesn't have a singles career behind him like a Sami Zayn or a Samoa Joe, so to a new audience they just see an okay but nothing special guy calling himself the perfect 10.

Is he actually good? From the very little I saw, it seemed like he got over just because the nxt audience enjoyed that chant.

I think he may end up struggling a bit in a similar way other acts do going from NXT to the main roster. Tye was a heel, the 10 thing was obnoxious and the crowd cheering it was usually after his opponent did something to him and counter taunted him. Then gradually he got more and more over, until they turned him into a plucky and beloved underdog.

I reckon he has it in him to get over on the main roster, but I don't know if he can do it as face alone, nor if he can do it before management give up on him.

My fear is largely based on the fact that NXT crowds tend to be made up of smart fans, and one of the reasons Tye got over with them is because they had a strong awareness of his general backstory (i.e. being in developmental for literally about ten years and working his ass off) in a way not dissimilar to Daniel Bryan.

The prob is that main roster crowds, by and large, don't have an awareness of this, and so, as others have alluded to, they just see this fairly generic guy showing up and boasting about being 10/10. I suspect he urgently needs his character to be fleshed out pretty fast or he'll just slowly disappear/be made into a jobber.

He'll peak when Punk returns to main event a Wrestlemania and they will start Yes moment 2.0. Would be funny af.
