i've gotten to the point where Jonomonster is talking about Kalisto and he's really upset at him dropping the belt straight back to Del Rio, which yeah could be a horrible plan from WWE, but I think it'd be cool if they have Kalisto win the belt back tomorrow...and then drops it back to Del Rio on Smackdown.

So Alberto goes into the Rumble as the title holder, and you have a ladder match as Jonomonster proposed, which Kalisto wins (with a salida del sol off the ladder), and they have the rematch on Raw the next night, which Kalisto wins and Del Rio moves onto other things (or maybe they have another re-match on Smackdown which Del Rio loses).

So yeah it's 50/50 booking, but there's something at stake in their clashes, and there's a story in there, with the natural underdog Kalisto not being able to secure the belt but eventually getting there.

If they've got Del Rio winning the belt at the rumble though.......

I'd hope for rematch tomorrow, shenanigans with Barrett attacking Kalisto making it a DQ. setting up a Kalisto promo later on where he makes it a ladder match at the Rumble, interference banned or whatever. (DQ means title changes hands, no other gimmick match probably the best bet really)

Kalisto probably doesn't need everything to be a ladder match but I think we all want to see it.

Kalisto vs Del Rio for the US

That's a pretty good looking half of the card for Rumble. They surely need another match at least right?
Throwaway Uso vs New Day match? That'd be a bit dire.

I see the logic with this idea, but I think if they were going to go with the Kalisto not being able to win the "big one" approach, they shouldn't have had him go over Del Rio at all until the 3rd or 4th attempt or whatever. Would have meant his big victory actually meant something, rather than being something already done before.

Kalisto is really good though.

As much as I like Ambrose, nah. Don't think he's been built up enough to win the big one and it wouldn't feel right. In fact, apart from Roman, no one has, and that's a huge shame. One of the great things about the build to last year's rumble (as bad as the rumble itself was) was that you had several guys you bought as possible winners.

Also I'm growing kind of fond of the idea of a face Bray, JR occasionally talks about it and I see what he means. I don't think anyone outside of Ambrose could do a man against the machine storyline quite as well as Bray if given the chance. The issue is the three Giants, the Wyatt family as a group should never go face.

Give Luke the family if you want them to stay heel monsters maybe? The Harper family.

Gotta give credit where it's due, Becky vs Charlotte has been good the last few weeks. Funny how it coincides with them stopping that 'divas revolution' crap and working an actual story.
