You always reminded me more of David Flair tbh. Particularly that time he had an encounter with the Undertaker.

Duffer can be Alex Wright, because at least Alex Wright was kind of cool.

There are also issues of context. Throwing out matches, even with big names and being of good quality, with no importance, has its limitations. My turn, your
turn booking has created the generation of midcarders. Sting, a midcarder with some natural charisma, became an overnight superstar because he went to a
45 minute draw with Ric Flair on television. But the key was the followup.

Had Flair then beaten Sting once each of the next two months on television, with a submission in the third match, Sting would have never been the enduring star he was. Similarly, if Undertaker, or Ultimate Warrior lost half the time on television in their first year, they’d have never gotten out of the blocks. Yet, even with Kevin Owens, a guy they were trying to make fast and the most promising talker in developmental, they gave him the big win first, and figured since they gave him that win, they could beat him constantly. So instead of being a top tier superstar, he joins the fun sea of very talented midcarders, guys that fans know, think of as stars, have good matches, but their ability to move the needle is minimized.

I appreciate what Meltzer is saying but it really annoys me at the lack of analysis on how substantial the ratings decline is when compared to TV entertainment as a whole. Numbers are done for pretty much everything. Is WWE losing those eyeballs faster and are they failing to monetize their audience in different ways to make up for this? I honestly think WWE isn't in any kind of decline, sure they may not be putting out a show that is necessarily growing an audience but they are hardly appear in dire straits.

It just seems like -STATEMENT: RATINGS DECLINE SHOWS WWE IS GETTING IT WRONG
- THINGS I DONT LIKE WITH WWE WHICH EXPLAIN WHY THE RATINGS ARE DECLINING

Is WWE even losing its audience faster than other Monday night television? I haven't watched actual television in years. We're a generation of cord cutters and the current discourse on the subject seems to ignore the comparisons that would really help analyse where the product is going wrong.

Hyped for NoC. I think both Rollins matches can go either way.

I've watched most of the eps in whole or part between WM XV-XVII thanks to the internet and watched return of NWO to mid-2006 as a kid.

I have time for another binge right now.

Have to decide between the Invasion era and Punk's 434 day streak era. Leaning towards the latter due to the shield as I'm watching right now and Rollins/Ambrose are ****ing awesome.

A failed cash in would always be nice.

Would be happy with any Rollins win or loss, doesn't matter IMO, will be awesome anyway.
KO to beat Ryback.
Charlotte to beat Nikki.
New Day Dudleys to just have a gun match and do what they do.
Rusev to beat Ziggler up
Wyatts to lose by DQ after Strowman accidentally kills someone
Actually excited for the Cosmic Wasteland match too, don't mind the result.

Cash in won't happen now imo. Heel cashing in on a heel makes no sense. Hopefully somewhere down the line we get a Rollins babyface turn where he heroically struggles through an epic match but gets screwed over by Sheamus cashing in.

Sting could win and get cashed in on, or Shaemus could come out with HHH to cash it in as the new Man for the enforcer because Haitch was getting jelly of Rollins success.

Plenty of ways they could do it. Unlikely though.

If Sting wins, I want a cash in.

Want Rollins to win though,

I'm biased though because WWE has utterly failed me to get excited about Sting.

It's complicated if they make him lose because Sting can't come lose 2 big PPV matches and **** off, they probably have an arc/direction for him which would be hurt bad if he loses so I'm guessing a Sting win and a sheamus cash in is the most likely solution to protect Sting's image as well as not having him as champion with his physical limitations due to age.

I don't see it. Sting win and cash in is slightly more likely but I doubt they'll do it. As much as they've pushed Shaemus, making him essentially the top heel right now doesn't make much sense. Rollins has to turn before it happens.

New Day v Dudley Boyz
Shield-lite v Wyatt Family ( I hope Cesaro is the 3rd member just so I see him)
Ryback v Owens (if it's not Owens then I just)
Nikki Bella v Charlotte (if Paige turns, I suspect it'd be after Charlotte wins the title rather than ensuring Bella retains)
Rusev v Dolph
Cena v Rollins
Sting v Rollins

Top heel would be the authority in that situation. Next PPVs are HIAC and Survivor Series right? Best time to transition between who's on top.

Fmd we're already up to Survivor Series? It's been a year since Dolph seemingly banished the Authority forever at SS 2014 where Sting debuted. Worst heel stable ever. So ****ing dull. Just hate it.

Yeah Stephanie isn't terrible as a heel but she is nowhere near her father and the Connor's Cure stuff makes it hard to take them seriously as a true heel threat. I like the best for business line but this hasn't really seemed like something that hampers our favourite faces at all since Byran died.

I just hope we get the WM reveal of Cena being best for business. Would be such a gun way to revitalise his career and the business.

Rollins turning face via the Sheamus cash in could defo be effective. He's at that point like, say Rock summer 98 or CM Punk 10-11 where people are dying to cheer for him
