I mean wtf was that. Really?!

Brock screwed by the timekeeper making a botch? Gimme a break.

Edit: I thought we were getting the Montreal screwjob repeated for the millionth time for a moment, so I suppose I should be grateful that didn't happen. But ah man, talk about an underwhelming end.

Urgh, so now a rematch is inevitable. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed that match a lot, but I really do not think there is any more mileage in it. All of the cool spots and storytelling have been done, twice. Ergh.

Such a weird PPV. New Day winning was awesome, Cesaro-Owens was well done and Taker-Lesnar was great until the lamest finish ever, but everything else was pretty forgettable.

Props to Stephen Amell btw... guy was amazing for a non-wrestler.

Would have been somewhat more tolerable if it had been on one of the lesser PPVS, but Summerslam supposedly the second most important PPV of the year, such a silly ending is bad work all round.

T'was a shame as the PPV up until that was fine, heck the final hour was good fun, but that ****ing ending.

Will write up a full rundown of my thoughts later, going to sleep now. On the whole I thought the show was good, great in places, but on the whole pretty forgettable. Rollins v Cena and Taker v Lesnar were both excellent, but let down by weak finishes. Especially the latter.

Taker-Brock was so good until the finish. Just sums WWE up ATM. So much potential, and so much going for it and then they **** it up at the end. Enjoyed the match, but don't really want to see it again, we've seen everything we need to see from a Brock-Taker match now, unless they're going to do it in Hell in a Cell, which would open up a few more awesome spots.

Also pleased that Cena didn't win the belt. Jon Stewart's acting was pretty horrible, was obvious what he was going to do as soon as he got to the ring, but nice to see Rollins hold both belts. Hopefully they'll initiate the same thing they did with Warrior after WM4 and have a US Title Tournament, culminating in Cesaro-Owens for the belt. Makes sense. Cena wasn't going to drop the belt to a midcarder, so they have him lose to the "top" guy in the company, and then the belt has to be vacated, allowing it to be returned to the midcard, while Cena can move on to a bigger main-event feud. The job has been done, the US title has been elevated, now need to give it to Owens and let him dominate for a while.

joke's on you. Cena will win back the US title at night of champions and then the world title at hell in a cell. then he'll vacate the US title. we all kill ourselves

Match ratings:

Cena/Rollins - 4.5, Stewart slightly botched the end by telegraphing 5 seconds too soon. Was a good match, the figure four genuinely had me thinking Cena would win.
Lesnar/Taker - 3.75, I liked the finish, but I felt like we missed out on ten minutes of action.
Cesaro/Owens - 3.25 pretty much what I thought would happen. Solid but not their best.
LoD/Neville and Amell - 3.00 a solid wrestling match and Starrrrrrrdusssst was genuinely awesome. I hope they use the defeat as a building block for the character because I love it. This being solid is massive props to Amell. Did a great job for a celebrity. Best ever probably.
Shaemus/Orton - 3.00 Was fine.
Tag team ff4way - 2.5, New Day and Ptp were much better than this but Lucha and Matadores both botched heavily and had pretty much their worst matches so far.
Ryback/show/Miz - 2.5, I love the story Miz tells, Show was okay and Ryback did what he does. Could watch Miz selling the KO punch all day.
Wyatts vs. Shield - 2.5, Harper was alright, barely even remember this match. Where the **** are they going here?
Rusev/ziggler - 2.00, ugh. Worst case scenario. Please end this soon. It has had its moments but none of those moments have been Ziggler vs. Rusev.
Women's match - 1.00, points for Nikki having her best match in ages, the Foxy Charlotte double takedown kick and Tamina looking threatening for 5 seconds. But please stop with the tag matches. So close to losing all the goodwill NXT has continued to build for the women's division. NoC next should hopefully see the single matches start happening that we actually want to see.

Big props to the Matadore who ran in when his partner missed the spot. That could have entirely ruined the match, but he not only took the superplex after coming up to 'fight' the Luchas. But also rolled out the ring so his partner could take the finisher from Titus. A shame that he needed to do the save at all though..

Summerslam Predictions

Rusev vs. Ziggler

Hard to say how this will go as I could see them dragging out the feud further, which would be a shame because Zigglers presence has dragged it down. This is really Rusev vs Lana and while Summer has managed to offer something by totally committing to her Lana 2.0 character, Ziggler is just Ziggler and makes Lana seem more vacuous by being in close proximity. My big hope is that we get a Lana heel turn. Where she manages to one up Summer in a ringside brawl at about the same time he has Ziggler laid out. Lana looks up at Rusev and he tells her to crush, with Lana locking on the accolade to Summer and Rusev doing the same to Ziggler soon after. Lana to return pretty much to her old persona and we keep this slightly quirkier Rusev. Creative to give Summer and Ziggler something to do elsewhere.

Rusev goes over clean.

Orton vs. Shaemus

A lot of people are ****ting on this but they are both pretty decent together and an old fashioned I don't like you feud is interesting enough. It also keeps them away from doing harm elsewhere. I like both just fine but it doesn't really matter who wins this. A ten minute slugfest with a few cool spots is all we need here.

Shaemus to go over sorta clean.

Ryback vs. Miz vs. Big Show

Ugh. All three of these guys offer something but beyond Miz Vs Big Show cowardly David v Goliath antics they offer nothing when combined together. Big Show shouldn't get the title, Ryback shouldn't have the title, Miz doesn't need the title. Could not give a **** tbh. I hope it's over quickly.

Ryback to pin Miz

Lords of Darkness vs Amell and Neville

Oh please please please live up to the hype. Now sold on Barretts involvement here, even though it mostly seems like he is there to eat a pin. Will likely be a short match so as to not expose Amell too much. Hoping the heels lose this by DQ so you can protect Nevilles reputation without squashing a guest as the alternative. Expect it's more likely we get a Red Arrow and clean pin.

The heroes win clean.

Wyatts vs. Reigns and Ambrose

I like all these guys but it's a pretty bland re-treading of something they did better before. The big hope is that this is what will turn one of the Shield boys heel. Hoping for Reigns but either would be nice.

Wyatts win clean.

BAD vs. PCB vs. Bella

I'm not a doomsayer quite yet about a failed 'revolution'. I think the factions have been used to introduce the new women to the wider audience and to let them gain an extra month to get Nikki over the line for the record. I'm hoping this will see the teams split up and see a few actual female story lines emerges. A hierarchy has formed and I'd say Sasha is the #1 contender. I don't think it particularly matters who wins, just how they win. With a whole team being eliminated by one person getting knocked out should hopefully see something they can build on in future.

I'll give this one to PCB clean. Strongest team all round and we may get some fallout when all 3 realise they think they should get a title shot and none of them are willing to take a back seat. Next PPV to have 2 matches, PCB triple threat and Banks vs. Bella for the title.

PTP vs. Los Matadores vs. Lucha Dragons vs. New Day

New Day are so hot right now. I don't think there is much more that PTP can do with the belts, so I'm expecting we will see New Day reclaim. And I'm really hoping we see New Day drop it on Raw within a week or two to one of the masked teams. Let the shenanigans continue.

New Day wins, dirty as ****.

Owens vs. Cesaro

Owens is having his rematch against Balor the night before this. He will lose that match and he will win this one. Despite feeling quite strongly on the result, these two are so good I think it'll be awesome to see how we get there.

Owens wins cleanish.

Cena vs. Rollins

Rollins hits that sweet Phoemix splash to win clean. I wish. Please no Shaemus cash. This is a hard one to predict because both titles are at stake. I can't see Rollins really doing anything with the U.S. Title that he can't already do with the WWE title. I think a DQ finish is likely with an outside shot Cena wins clean. I think they'll build up Cenas next actual title reigns up a lot more though.

Rollins to retain due to shenanigans.

Lesnar vs. Undertaker

Masked Kane to interfere. Who he attacks is the harder call. Double turn IMO

Lesnar wins via DQ when Kane beats the **** out of him, before turning on his brother and choke slamming him straight to hell. Monster Kane is back BABEH. One last time.
Missed Wyatts losing, Ziggler Rusev being a draw and the manner they decided to screw with the Undertaker finish.
