Listening to the Punk-Cabana podcast there really is no way back for him. Vince has had beef with lots of guys but this looks some next level ****.
Surely not as bad as Hogan testifying against Vince in court! Obviously Punk is not Hogan but still...

during the Cena podcast did anyone else constantly think about what Punk's take on (whatever) subject would have been? or was that just me

Solomonster, Austin, Y2J. Only 3 I listen two. Solomonster is an easy #1 imo.

There are others out there like JR's Ross Report, but I hated it.
Yeah exactly the same here.

The problem with the Austin podcast for mine is that he just rambles on and on and swears all the time and it can get a bit tedious. Jericho is fine, but a lot of the time you get the feeling he's doing the whole thing whilst in character, which sort of defeats the point.

Far be it for me to stick up for yellow dick, but I always think his testimony is overstated. He said steroid use was rampant, but that Vince never told them to take them or distributed them, didn't he??

Still think Bischoff tops the lot anyway, regardless. His mission for six years was to put Vince out of business (and he was stupid enough to think that the way to do this was to solely push guys that Vince had made stars out of, what a genius. Overrated cretin. Anyway), employing some pretty dirty tactics along the way (the giving the results away for example) and yet he worked for him for about 4-5 years when all was said and done.

The thing with today's social media is that every thing is out there, as opposed to a random shoot 15 years back.

Yeah, the whole Punk court case, 2k15 and settlement was what I based the no turning back comment on. I think sledger also said before that he had a hatred for Trips and Stephanie as well. I guess I'll go along with the never say never attitude.

Heh, apparently there were 20 guys in the WCW locker room who had "full creative control." Madness.

Nah, I definitely did say that to duffer at one stage. GAGF

I think the 2k15 thing duffer is referring to is the way Punk got put on the video game cover and WWE management got upset about it.

I reckon there would be a way back for him tbh. One day anyway. The whole Bret Hart business was on a similar level to all this.

At the end of the day there'd be a lot of money to be made out of a Punk return a few years down the line; hard to imagine that Vince would pass that up, regardless of what's gone on.

Would be absolutely amazed if it did happen though. Punk is a very principled guy, and it's hard to see him changing his mind about his decision to "never" work in pro-wrestling again. He'll stick to his guns imo.
Sting changed his mind when he saw the money. If Punk ever comes back it's likely to be on his terms. Lesser workload. Less wrestling, more promos or something like that I would say.

Austin's podcasts are no bs and he is at his best when talking about road stories from his time when he was travelling or talking to other wrestlers. Less entertaining on his own.

Austin vs punk at WM 32 in Dallas,Texas. Main Event. If anything brings Punk bank, it's WM main event. Even that might not be enough. Especially now with Austin falling out with WWE too.

Austin's advertising on his podcast are simultaneously hilarious and ridiculously annoying.
