*Official* Pakistan vs Australia in the UAE 2018

That wicket was so flat I think I could make a first innings ton on it.

It seriously looked like a concrete pitch I played on in juniors with a hard plastic ball.

Still, watch Australia collapse to 255 ao on day 3.

I'm calling 162 ao myself.

I don't hold high hopes of a good innings considering we got bowled out for 370 in Melbourne with a stronger batting lineup. It'll be interesting to see how the surface wears, these UAE matches often seem to pick up later on in the game.

Nah England would have found a way to be 30-3

I thought we bowled well today. The Pakistani batsmen gave very little away but we didn't bowl loads of rubbish or anything

Yeah Australia bowled fine. Not great, but fine. Even Holland who looked really ineffective didn't exactly bowl a heap of pies -- he was just a bit slow through the air considering there was no turn or bounce, and was every so often deposited into the stands as a result. The plans and especially field placings were not great at times, but the bowling itself was fine IMO.

There was definitely a bit more turn in general in the final session so I expect there to be more to work with by the time Yasir and Asif have their turn, but Day 1 was just a classic slow road.

Why wouldn't Lyon tell him to speed it up a bit
Because of one of the most over-used cliche in Australian cricket. "It's just the way he plays and its the way he should play."

Think for Holland he would have been spanked a bit more if he was speeding them up.

Our newly appointed vice captain is doing his best to up the run rate though. Nothing like bowling both sides of the wicket.

I honestly can't see the bowling of MMarsh ever get back up to where it was in the 2015 Ashes. He's been barely even medium fast recently
