And why on earth would one tamper with a ball, when all you need is to roll up the Pakistan tail with 7 sessions left, 350 odd ahead, and an innings to bat if necessary....

Like I said earlier in the thread, that isn't really that doable in the UAE. Outfields are grassy and there aren't that many practice strips. All it would really do would soften the ball up, which is the last thing you want on such wickets.

SA will win this by a huge HUGE margin, but the tampering bit leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I always felt as a group, they were above this.
