*Official* Pakistan v South Africa in Dubai

If Pakistan won at least SA might have to try to play some aggressive cricket instead of dawdling along. Obviously their bowling and fielding have been found wanting but they hardly pressed the issue with the bat yesterday and as usual their tactics have been negative at times. Kallis and Boucher will surely rue these chances with the age maybe catching up with latter. Being dropped from ODIs is surely a sign that his days are numbered. Kallis has certainly also dropped some crucial chances in his time.

Yeah, only way I can see it happening is if Pakistan have four or five big overs early in the session and SA don't respond quickly enough. Too easy for them to just bowl defensive lines to defensive fields if they feel threatened.

Those LBWs should be given FFS

Hawkeye says it was going down leg but I don't give a ****

There might have been a small chance if Afridi was on the team but not really, now.
Reckon they would have had a dash if Afridi and/or Razzaq (better chance than Afridi) are still in the shed and if they got it down to 90-100 runs of 10 overs.

Still have Umar Akmal though

Akmal will come out and throw his wicket away as usual. So overrated.

What he did in the first innings was criminal.

Yeah, looks like they're not going for it, just knocking the singles around. Ah well. They're just about safe now anyway.

If SA only end up taking one wicket for the whole day they'll surely have to look at their attack for the next test. Not that Pakistan fared any better in the second SA innings either.

Pakistan has an excuse though, they only had one fast bowler. SA is full-strength.

They should go for it and lose rather than play out a draw. They were outplayed this test match in any case; if this match is drawn it will be forgotten but a Pakistan win would be truly remarkable.
