Looking forward to this, it's been a long time I saw BCs playing. Corey has to be playing and I'm expecting Ajaz to make his debut as well.

I'm expecting Pakistan to take this rather easily, which means they probably won't, because Pakistan.

Just tuned in, with a wicket down. Bit early to say but Milne looks in good rhythm and definitely quicker than in the India series last year.

Yeah Phillips has been spectacular in the field. Couple of near misses and a messed run out attempted from Southee but otherwise good fielding effort all around.

Don't know if PAK are happy with what they have so far especially considering Hafeez's form, but this looks like a difficult wicket to chase on, slow and low.

Good catch from Anderson now as well. Pleased he didn't injure himself! And now Shoaib is run out! It would be great to keep them under 140

Closely fought contest. 7th win in a row for Pakistan. But then again it's just T20s. NZ choked. Shaheen keeps impressing.

Did expect NZ to be better than Australia, but that was an all too familiar T20 chase from them. Blistering start, KW struggled, momentum well and truly gone with Munro's dismissal, Anderson scratchy. Going at 4 an over when 6 an over needed, and 8 an over when 10 needed. Pity, because this was one of the better Munro innings I've seen - he took his time before opening up and was dealing with the spinners very well.

Pakistan did their thing and applied the chokehold well alright, credit where due.

Only saw the last five overs, but it looks like Munro and Taylor did what was needed, the rest did not a lot. Anderson was particularly frustrating to watch ... singles better than nothing in that situation, and would have been the difference in the end.

Set an alarm for 5 a.m. and watched our boys bowl for few overs before had to get on with it. It was exciting to watch the boys back playing cricket but disappointing they couldn't cross the line. I thought bowling was great, proper plans and good field set. BCs had done their homework and smart changes in bowling. Ample use of slower balls and attacking the stumps from length early on. Bowling was certainly impressive. Shame the batting was good but not good enough to get there in the end. I think Pakistan will have to play their best cricket to consistently win, we seem to have plans laid out nicely.

Geez that would have been an entertaining match to watch. Pakistan are extremely good at t20 cricket right now. They just seem to find a way to win.

Annoying to lose by two runs for the momentous first NZ match in seven months, even if it's an otherwise a meaningless T20.

Three or four really good catches plus a runout in the field, up until Southee fluffed a runout and Sodhi dropped a gentle lob fifth to last ball, after which we conceded 10 off the final two. Ugh. Fairly good bowling figures from all.

Taylor is adding more evidence to the idea that he's regained that top gear to score really quickly. Bad old innings from Williamson, but he can do better. Anderson though played exactly the sort of bogged-down block-bash innings that has seen me not want him in the side in the past. Only one data point on his return from injury, but it's exactly in line with what we've previously seen of his limited-overs performances for NZ.

Shame Seifert got a golden. Interested to see they got him to keep over Philips. Might be harsh to blame him for the drop off a thick edge when Munro bowling, but have a feeling many keepers would have taken it anyway.

Well done to Pakistan. Recorded it and watched it this afternoon - a fantastic game to watch, even if it's a bit disappointing to lose from such a strong position.

Hopefully we can take the next one.
