*Official* Pakistan v New Zealand in the UAE 2018

Not Terrible
Holy ****, I just got an email from the bank to advise me they made an error in my favour. $58 of historical card fee charges from my student days coming back to me. Thought this only happened in Monopoly.

All because of Kane I reckon.

Hafeez's supposed ability against spin has to be a meme by now.

Been tough going since tea, seems there's been a few edges and loose shots and the scoring rate has slowed. We're not remotely out of the woods yet, this pitch doesn't appear as crumbly as the first test so I doubt 170 will be enough this time around.

Such fun times to watch NZ cricket under his Reich though. Never seen an NZ player break an opposing captain's brain so badly as he did during the last drug-fueled bender.
Yeah, in the words of a friend who previously didn't have much time for NZ cricket, "he made the game more interesting."

What I liked about him was his willingness (or was it over-enthusiasm?) to keep trying out different roles and succeeding at each of them to some degree - wicketkeeper, pinch hitter, test match opener, captain, specialist number 5.

Have to say, everytime I've watched NZ in a bit of a hole Nicholls has always stood up. Could be a long term prospect.

Kane padding it away is so good to watch too.

Nullifying in form Yasir Shah's turn on a day 4 track in UAE. ****ing incredible.

Don't think we are watching an in form Yasir Shah today. Bilal Asif has been quite the better bowler.

Has had a great series and I think NZ have done well to push him back. Yeah Bilal looks better today.

Yes, agreed Kane Williamson great etc, but this innings from Henry Nicholls has also been quite superb.
Hopefully, he goes on to complete a century, and his innings too would be remembered as much.

Re Nicholls, standout thing for me this innings is that it hasn't been chanceless (control % 84 according to cricinfo, and his being saved by the reviews), but he's seemingly been able to put the previous ball out of his head and just get on with it, which is a great asset.

Well needless to say that's pretty much as good a day as we could've hoped for. Partnership of 212 so far from these two, superb work. Another 50 runs tomorrow would probably make the game safe, it seems that while both teams have had periods of quick scoring it's generally been hard to score on and if you bowl well it's not easy to force the pace.

Reckon KW will be conservative as far as any potential declaration goes, if we're not bowled out I'd be surprised if we're bowling before lunch tomorrow.

In the second test during the last NZ tour in 2014 BMac set Pakistan 260 off 70 overs on the final day, but yes unless NZ are bowled out doubt KW would consider doing the same.

its an overseas series win, there's big turn and only kane has scored quickly all series. put on 50 tomorrow asap then bowl wicket to wicket. pakistan can risk the variable bounce if they dare.

nz gotta go for this.
