**Official** Pakistan v New Zealand in the UAE 2014

Binkley

U19 Captain
Good game. Kudos all round.
That was a great game - and a real nail-biter at the end. If Afridi had managed to last just another over I reckon the game would have been Pakistan's.

Excellent bowling again from Milne - but how unlucky is he? Ross Taylor in particular seems to develop the dropsies whenever he is bowling.

EDIT: PS - a good game, but one that probably should not have been played given the circumstances.

Hamilton. Not sure which clay will feature in the WC, they have a choice of two to play on there.

Fast Patumahoe similar to that is also used in Auckland.
Given that we play Bangladesh at Hamilton, we'd be daft to play on the slower, turning clay.

Seriously don't get why Boult is a certainty for the World Cup. All he's got to go on is a couple of decent performances against South Africa earlier this summer - and even then he showed how vulnerable he is during the death overs. Mind you, in these last couple of games Henry has shown that he's little better in that respect.

Milne showed his value yesterday, by once again cutting Afridi off in full cry. His pace will be invaluable for dealing with slogging lower-order hacks who routinely drop good line and length bowlers like Boult and Henry into the stands.

Its been announced that Vettori will miss the decider as he is attending his brother's wedding. Do you think that will make the NZ task to difficult he was key in the last ODI. Or will the extra benefit of Nathan McCullum's batting be enough of a substitute?

Tait would be quicker I think.

Saw in in the big bash last night and first ball back into a new spell was 150, then cranked it to 152 next ball.

Can't wait to see Milne get the confidence to pitch it up AND see him on a faaaaast track.

Will NZ grounds be too small for him though?

I heard Williamson talking about playing on a worn pitch, which doesn't sound great for New Zealand. It sounds quite good for Kane's chances of top scoring again.

I don't think I care about winning this series so any sort of deck for the final is fine. Just want Milne and Mitch to come through it un injured. Wish that Mills was still around so he could play.
I would probably be in favour of going with a prank bowling line up again just to give some of our pacers a rest.
