you ****s really need to pick one of neesham and anderson and find a legitimate number 5, batting looks to weak with both imo

Don't like Neesham's front-foot swat in place of a proper cut shot - it's had him out a few times. Don't mind him against the new ball in these conditions though; by contrast Anderson would have done a better job for us against the old ball and the spinners.

Flabbergasted at the softness of Anderson's dismissal.
It's always been a trait of Anderson's. Plenty of swish and wish outside off. Makes like Howsie and passes the buck onto a possibly sub-par groundsman, when it backfires.

Would be good to still make 400 from here. Then we can see if our bowlers learned anything from the last time out.
You'll see the spinners bowl a lot faster and flatter, I think it'll suit Craig's style but it'll **** terribly with the accuracy (or lack there of) that Sodhi has.

The seamers are all on instruction to bowl fuller.

There is history. NZ slipped to 5-279 at Kingston, only for Neesh and Watling to add 201. But no, don't think they can do it again.
Watling, absolutely can.
Neesham, if my hunch is right, will establish himself as a batsman for NZ in his own right.

And this in my view is the difference between Anderson and Neesham. I back Neesham's defense in almost any condition as a rebuilder and someone who will do it more often than the flashier but faultier Anderson.

Just knew that single off the last ball of previous over was going to spell doom. Neesham had to get off strike.

While Neesham does look a little suspect against spin, his height and left-handedness help.

Arg and then that...
