That was an amazing effort by Pakistan, escaping a certain defeat.Over the years Pakistan have gained a reputation of dodging certain defeats. The great escape at Mohali, the test match against England (in which from no where Pak came back to win it when they were once starring at defeat) and now this test match. Stunning!!

Ofcourse Pak have great luck with them in those matches.I think Inzi's Autobiogrophy should be titled "Great Escapes", and it should cover into detail all the "dodge defeat" games.

In any case i'm happy that Pakistan didn't lose the match, as had Pakistan ended up losing the series 2-0 to an injury hit Lankan team, then some ppl would have questioned their earlier wins, in particular the 2-0 series win over England on dodgy home pitches.

Hope to see a good game of cricket in second test match, Lankans will again start as fav's but they should better watch out for opportunistic Pak team.
This is what I don't understand, people label pakistan as the 2nd-4th best team in the world, then label Sri Lanka as favourites. As for the rest of your post, it is spoken like a true troll. You seem to think that every win or Pakistan has ever pulled off has been lucky. Where were the dodgy decisions at Mohali?

Probably because SriLanka are playing at home and Murali bowls great in home conditions and also coz of the fact that SriLanka played better in the 1st test..

Yes, because Murali had a great game...
I wouldn't say Sri Lanka outplayed Pakistan, with about 30 more overs, Pakistan were in a good position to win.

Seems like Monday's test match will be Sanath Jayasuriya's last test, hopefully the man can go out in style.

In any other country he may have been pushed out earlier, SL's lack of developing openers meant he stayed a little too long in Test cricket.

Any way must not say bad things when a person is retiring so-

Thanks Sanath for your great contributions to SL in Test Cricket , I hope this means your performances in ODI's can lift up a notch , since otherwise there may be people wanting you to retire altogether .:)

if rain hadn't interupted and that bloody umpire had given Malik out SL would've won the match.

No question about that, to say that Pak was in a good position to win is totally wrong. We are damn lucky not to have been one down at this stage.

Well i would say that Inzi is a lucky chap, some of the result that Pak team got under him had a lot to do with luck.Pak should continue to play under him as he bring with his captaincy amazing luck to Pak team!

What are you clowns cooking?? Can't two person share the same opinion? I can see 4 clowns here who talks alot like each other!!

I have all the reason to say that Inzi is a lucky captain, the guy is a genious batter but as a captain he's dull and unimaginative and there were a number of times Pakistani team were in trouble and his captaincy was at stake, but somehow he remained unhurt.

The series against India is one such example, there was an uproar in the country over the pitch issue, pitches that were "masterminded" by none other than Inzi. Pakistan rightfully came out victorious in the last match, thanks to young lads in Asif,Akmal and Younis yet Inzi took the credit (even though he didn't even played that match) for team unity etc.

Then the series against England, i thought in the first test match England were a bit unlucky to lose the match, some of the decisions wen't against them, had they won that test match then i think the result of the series could have been different.

The policy of playing just 3 specialist bowlers in test matches, instantance of playing Razzak in test matches (when he's clearly not of test standard) and the musical chairs being done with openers is something which shows that Inzi clearly is thick headed.Inspite of all that Pak emerges victorious under him. Some say that its coz of Inzi's team unity effort, but i think it has something more than that, the lady luck surely has been smiling on Inzi.

But rain did interrupt, and that 'bloody' umpire didn't give Malik out so with 30 odd more overs Pakistan were in a good position.
