You had to wonder what the selectors saw in him other than some raw talent a couple of years ago when he was averaging god knows what and had little domestic success to boot, however credit to the coaches and his own hard work to get himself fit enough to play test cricket, and also to be armed with the necessary patience and skills to succeed, I think the fact that he has worked his way towards this rather than burst on the scene straight away is encouraging, but time shall tell...

Good day too, everyone contributing except for my boi Lakmal, who's looked of colour since NZ, a shame, he was bowling really well until then

Randomly I was at the hotel where both teams were staying yesterday.. Was surprised to see all of them just eating regular food at the morning buffet at 8am.. and just hopping on the bus right after..

- Was on the elevator with Mushtaq Ahmed, wished him good luck
- Dinesh Chandimal was the first SL at the buffet..
- All the fast bowlers stuck together
- Waqar Younis was eating alone
- Nuwan Pradeep sheepishly went and got some extra coconut water
- A female friend who had no idea about cricket asked to take a photo with Jehan Mubarak and asked him "do you play for SL or Pak?"
- Dinesh Chandimal is a famewhore
- Kaushal Silva really is as short as he seems
- Angelo Matthews didn't even make the buffet - dude is too cool for breakfast.

^ All important details that should be evaluated thoroughly in these forums no doubt.

Why the hell are pakistan's bowlers so toothless on a helpful deck while Sri Lankan seamers are making the pak batsmen jump around (i know pak batsmen are ****e but still)
