Incredible to think that Duffy is above titans of the modern game like *checks notes* Akeal Hosein and Adil Rashid.

Duffy's 70 points ahead of the next best pacer (Arshdeep). He also averages nearly 28 at 8.6 an over in the Super Smash.

Maybe T20Is at home against SL and Pakistan shouldn't count.

Hmmm I don’t know. Hay is a blue chip prospect, should be playing every chance we can fit him in. Seifert is what he is, I definitely don’t think he’s a long term option in 50 over cricket.
Yeah it's an interesting one. We shouldn't judge Seifert on what he was, because it seems like he is a vastly improved cricketer with both bat and gloves. He had an interesting Ford Trophy campaign, a couple of hundreds and the rest failures I think? Clearly he hit the ball well in the T20Is but was streaky, although is that what we are prepared to have from our ODI opener (ala Finn in previous years)?

There's no reason Seifert and Hay can't both fit. I'm not saying they should, just that they could. Hay is the #1 keeper, and I think will become the long-form keeper very soon, as well.

Seifert>Kelly? Quite possibly. Seifert>Conway, or Young? Probably not, but it's a conversation.

Can he bosh a six?

Mitchell does block a lot and back himself to get well set and catch up later. There’s a lot of shots where he just bunts the ball around without really looking for a run, although he often pantomimes that he is hunting the single.

In all honesty, a bit of a selfish approach from Mitchell. Is he relying on his partner to keep the run rate up while he beds in? Probably. Currently he’s 12 off 22.

Woah there, buddy. You're showing dangerous signs of Gen Z attention deficit brainworms.

Feels like Mitchell has been managing to eke out runs for a while now despite usually starting slowly and not timing much

I think Mitchell was finding Sufiyan Muqeem very difficult to pick, was trying to get through his spell without losing his wicket, IIRC only 2 lofted shots into the deep which is unlike normal Mitchell against spin.

i assume he will now go boundary hunting against the quicks.
