*Official* Pakistan in New Zealand

Seems to be working out well for NZ Cricket this business of the BBL and IPL 'stars' and Williamson picking and choosing when they play. We saw a very strong side BC's take the field in Napier, based on the score that was put up and the job the bowlers did. Chapman and Abbas played some stunning shots, O'Rourke showed that he has come on in leaps and bounds as a white ball bowler. The fact we can do this while resting Jamieson to preserve his fragile back is pretty amazing.
The Pakistan team were pretty woeful in the field and also with the number of wides they bowled, and they need to sort out their 5th bowler quandary before the next match.

Chapman out injured (awful luck for him) and Seifert has been called up, stead citing form as to his selection despite not being contracted.

He has been in top form and if he makes a score, hopefully he reconsiders his contract position

If he did I wonder if there would be any consideration to Seifert being the test keeper with an eye on the Australian tour? His batting seems to have matured, he's got experience in Australian conditions and against their players via BBL. He seemed to keep pretty well in the BBL.

Nicholls is the most experienced, followed by Mitchell and then Bracewell.

Rest of the team haven't played more than 20 games each. Is this team the most inexperienced we've fielded in recent memory?

Wouldn't you say Seifert is several times superior to Hay as well? I'm not sure why they're persisting with Hay when Seifert is in the background with his form and experience.

Id love to know why he has this reputation as someone with no power. He’s shown this sort of ball striking ability a few times now

Seifert's never really been viewed as a potential ODI guy. As it is, I'm guessing one of the reasons he got called in was because these last two ODIs are in ND country & he'll be at home. As it was, this is what, over 6 years after his one series?
