Doug must be a great guy off the field. He seems to make most squads, without actually wickets in tests/ODI's, or completely dominating in domestics.

But, as you guys have said, as long as it's 12th man duties and Henry coming into the side, all good. Ferguson and Jamieson must have been considered.

They're selecting him because of his net bowling from what I gather and that they feel he's "unlucky" - but no performance at any level indicates he's a consistent performer.
