I knew when they brought Gul back he'd go out. Just like when they brought Freddy back earlier in the year against England (although he was incorrectly given out in that game).
Still, FFS Sachin it's one run, you've gotten to three figures so many times before, stop doing that!

From 26th June 2007 till date in exactly four and a half months, Sachin has been out in the 90's six times, twice against South Africa, thrice against England and today. Five of these in odi's and three of them 99's.

In addition to that he has three 70's and an 80 (two each against Australia and England). Plus a fifty and two 40's. WOW. Forget the disappointment of not adding another six centuries to his kitties. Thats an amazing run of scores in just four and a half months and we have TV news channell hosts still asking their incredulous guests why Tendulkar is still playing !

The umpires may end up having arms longer by a few inches, given how many wide balls are being bowled. That's one annoying thing, as also the full-ground run-ups that these bowlers have.
As for the Sachin not-so-century, the good thing is that partnership of over 170 (?) runs with Gambhir. The team needs more of these at the top order, with all the singles being run, particularly by Gambhir, who scored more between the wickets than over the boundary. The next ton may come sooner than later, the form he's in, and more likely if he attempts more fours and sixes near the century instead of the tentative approach, in the face of attacking bowling and fielding.

The seventh batsman fails again, as Uthappa (one more ad out of time, cutting out the commentator) gets a leg ahead, out LBW to Tanvir. We don't know if it was correct, but before we could get a view, three ads come in.

Ya the ads are very irritating. The ball seemed to hit him a bit outside the line of off stump and so probably wasn't out but we don't know cos of the ads and all.

These ads are almost as bad as the ones on DD Sport, when they actually ran them full-length and showed four-ball overs.
Anyway, The 42nd over was only five deliveries- no ads needed!
