***Official*** Pakistan in England

Given the track and the bowler friendly 1st day conditions I think 250 would be a good score for England.

Less than 200 and Pak have done a great job and if England get 300 they have done very well.

Heres hoping that England get close to 300 and have similar muggy and seaming conditions on a bouncy track tomorrow.

Top stuff fom Asif. Just shows what Pakistan have been missing.
Watching Asif today reminded me what a great series this COULD have been if both teams were at full strength. It would've produced a much more gripping series for sure.

Hmmm.....this isn't quite going to plan. Read standing up and being counted again, though - I'm finding myself quite glad Geraint's no longer in the side.

Disappointing to have missed a fair chunk of today's play. I'll have to check out the highlights tomorrow. I really like Pakistan as a team for some reason, probably my second favourite side around right now.

Missed England's innings today, Asif figures look good but overall did he bowl as well as the figures suggest?

I am pretty knackered at missing today's play. Dear God, why couldn't Asif have gotten fit earlier in the series?! :(

I didn't watch the whole game, only bits and pieces. But the parts I saw, Asif was really impressive, along with Gul. Just makes you go "if only...."

There is an urdu saying "Jo hota hai achay kay lay hota hai".

Basically what i am trying to say is that a fit Shoaib, Asif and Rana would have meant that Gul would have missed this series and i seriously believe that this series has been the making of Umer Gul, he has gone better and better as the series has progressed.

He looked the best fast bowler on display in the series to date.

Not sure why Rana Naved would be an automatic selection ahead of Gul. He has a terrible Test record. Yes, he's performed in county cricket, but so has Sajid Mahmood.

3 drops for us today (OK, we'll let Colly off) and the second one in all honesty, shouldve been Readys instead of leaving it to Trescothick. If first slip has to dive into the wicketkeeper in order to take the ball, then it should initially be the keepers
