ATM with all the injury problems I can't see a replacement for him so, yes.
An opening bowler with an average of 45+ should be nowhere near the team. There must be a better bowler than Sami somewhere in Pakistan.

If two spinners are needed late on, Pietersen can bowl

The reason I said Match Drawn was because we've gone for a defensive line-up again, I assume. Then again, our tail is going to be pretty pathetic today.

Yeah, it starts at 7 :p.

Mind you, the top 6 should have no trouble reaching 300+ against this Pakistan attack, so a 5-man tail shouldn't be a problem this Test.

Just as a moot point, I hope we lose the toss as I am going tomorrow. Originally I would have wanted to watch us bowl, but no Jones and no Flintoff means I am now desperate to watch KP.

So you think England will bat on day 2 after losing the toss?

Which bowler will take out that middle order today then?

Why must you always attack my optimism!!??

Inzy'll run them all out 8-)
Because optimism is no way to go about watching sports. It's all about long periods of gloom with short bursts of hope inbetween. Go read Fever Pitch.

Good call on Inzy, though. Hadn't thought of that

GBH strikes with two early blows. These two at the crease and the next one are the real test though.

Jono

Harmison to Kamran Akmal, OUT, and another one! Akmal caught in no-man's land, feet stuck in the crease and Trescothick at first slip takes an excellent catch as Geraint Jones does his old trick of diving straight across his team-mate. Could easily have got a fingertip to it, but Tresco kept his eyes on the ball&
Jones does do that a fair bit actually, but Tresco is generally brilliant in the slips.

From the little I've seen on TV so far (only switched on a few overs ago) Harmison is bowling quite well.

He is bowling decently, but left arm is still going to 1st slip which makes him a little erratic and is why his is not bowling 93+ regularly. His weight is not going towards the stumps

More like a terrible, needless shot. Someone should tell him it's not one day cricket.

Younis Khan really does have a bad habit of making the most easy as you like 30 odd than getting out in the most unattractive of fashions.
