Think it's harsh to expect any non-specialist bat to deal with that standard of bowling. Occasionally they'll scrap a few runs anyway but folding for nothing will happen fairly regularly too.

Well done Pakistan heads could have easily went down this morning but they seemed to show some spirit (not something they are known for).

Great stuff from Pakistan this morning, that is still a decent score though, England can be very thankfull to Morgan, Collingwood and Akmal for that.

Bat all day tomorrow, make 600+ and then maybe consider having a blast at Pakistan in the last hour of the day or something.

It will certainly be interesting to see how England bowl with the new ball. The conditions are ripe to get it pitched up and cause havoc, as Asif and Amir have shown first up.

What frightens me, however, is the short-of-a-length crap that we served up in similar conditions in the first Test of the summer against Bangladesh. I am likely to break something if we test out the middle of the wicket - we should be looking to be batting again this evening.

354 all out. Credit to the Pakistan bowling this morning, they have stuck to their lines beautifully and Asif gets a well deserved 5 fer. England will be disapointed with that. It could of been a 400+ total and that would of deafinately put Pakistan out of the game but with that being said, they should not be to worried.

I'm just lost for words here, good bowling from Asif to bring Pak back into the game but I feel that we are waaaay to bad to get 350 and make a decent lead, c'mon Butt, will be an ultimate test for Akmals to make up for their missconception of the word 'test cricket'. Here we go...

This has been a superb first over from Broad. No-one's got the ball to go through this quickly, he's getting real lift of the surface and getting the ball to carry through to Prior. The first bouncer to Butt was superb. Looks in real good knick.
