The pitch does have a touch of green, and it is quite overcast in Sydney right now. Has had zero impact on the game though.

bowled really well, looking forward to him playing for Hampshire in Twenty20 this year, rekon he might get us to finals day for the first time.
Mark Nicholas just talking about what a talismanic figure he is for the whole side, wonder if making him captain (including for tests) would be such a ridiculous idea? I know he has pretty much been written off as a test player but I don't think he would make the current test side any worse by any means.

ya.. very impressive bowling by afridi..certianly Afridi injects aggression in the pakistani side.. considering the bad tour that they have had so far.. they need that aggression..
I don't think afridi wants to play test anymore.. he retired from test long time ago.. he made himselve unavaliable for test cricket ever since his retiremet back in 06 despite taking it back..
The way i see it there is one solution for Pakistani team.. seprate teams..make afridi captain of ODI and 20/20. Voice captain Kamran Akmal...Guys like Shoaib malik, younis khan, Mohmmad Yousuf, Misbah Ul Haq, Danish Kaneria and imran Farhat should be kept away from the side..replace them with young stars.. I be they can find cricketers like umar Akmal and Aamir to replace these players as i consider pakistan a talent pool
For the test
make younis khan captain of the side
give Misbah a run and play Yousuf as batsman..replace kamran akmal with sarfarz ahmad.. give guys like asim kamal, aamir Sajjid and Mohmmad hafiz another run..Keep guys like umar Gul, Navid Ul Hasan, Sohail Tanveer, kamran Akmal and Saeed ajmal away from test side..give guys like sohail khan, Mohammad Talah, Yasir Arafat and abdul rahman another shot..
