Gonna start raining just in time for the start.

PSL will come under the T20 stats right. If so, he has 12 wickets there in 10 matches at an average of 30 and economy of 10. Not exactly flash :D
Oh, and he supposedly bowls fast. That's the most important thing. 8 wickets at 29.4 in last year's PSL. Decent but nothing to write home about.

The showers are moving very rapidly, would be on and off if they didn't take years to do everything here. Once the main rain band gets over there will be a decently lengthy delay.

Seen pointed out elsewhere that Pakistan don't really have any swing bowlers for this match (unless Musa shows something more).

So far Abbas is the slowest specialist pace bowler I have seen in internationals. Should point out I did not watch Sayers in his test.

Sayers was about 128-132 for most of the time in that Test iirc

I didn't see him either. No Fox sports means not much in the way of overseas matches. Seen plenty of him for NSW though.

If Abbas just keeps it a bit tighter to off he'll be on the money here. Getting a bit of away movement.

I think I watched a spell where he was <130 for the entirety. He definitely looked gentler to the eye.

Sam Curran is pretty slow. Philander as well. Then you have some of the BD/Lankan quicks of 5-10 years ago.

I only really saw the first innings, definitely possible his pace would have dropped off eve further a bit especially considering he came back to Adelaide carrying a knee niggle

Jeez, that wasn't coming at all. Not from Burns, no, never.
It was a poor shot but i definitely think the cover drive for 4 the ball before played its part.

Burns liked bat on ball and probably just relaxed a fraction and thats all it takes.

The keeper is standing up to a pace bowler in a test in Australia. Now I've seen it all. Maybe they were right, maybe he has lost a yard of pace.
