so you mean in a calendar year? or as in ever?Shafiq is only 400 runs away (at number 6) from being the most successful test number 6(going by runs aggregate) EVER
Laxman batted 5 many times too. Shafiq has pretty much always batted 6.He has more than Laxman?
wanna help run battle of the pigmen since Spikey isn't going to?Hey Jono. Go back and stink up the India vs England thread ffs.
No way bud. he is a fine bowlerBird did well in the 2nd innings, but I'm not convinced from what (little) I've seen of his bowling. Seems like he'd be a good fit for the Indian Wheel (TM).
Pak tried him at No.3 and it didn't work out,I guess he has had some problem facing new ball nevertheless looks fine against the new ball in this testFeel pak are wasting shafiq at 6, he can contribute more I feel, at least come ahead of grandpa misbah ffs
Sarcasm much? Anyway none after that magnificent effort. Glad Australia won but I was envious of the fight Pakistan displayed. Quite the contrast compared to the way we caved against the Saffers. I was at the gabba on the 1st day. Wahab looked slippery most of the day. Amir swung the ball at good speed. Renshaw and Handscomb give Australia's supporters some hope for our batting.so any changes to the Pak team needed?
nah Bird's good. I'm guessing that's the way Rod Marsh thought though. Funny to think that two blokes like Philander and Abbott, who bowl around Bird's pace, probably would have been squeezed out of the African side if Marsh had a say in selection.Bird did well in the 2nd innings, but I'm not convinced from what (little) I've seen of his bowling. Seems like he'd be a good fit for the Indian Wheel (TM).
They definitely need to change Rahat IMO.so any changes to the Pak team needed?
Has a test average better than any other Indian quick currently playing. Don't think he is the bowler he was when he debuted but not a bad third quick to have in your side, and I only noticed recently how much he looks like Carl Froch.Bird did well in the 2nd innings, but I'm not convinced from what (little) I've seen of his bowling. Seems like he'd be a good fit for the Indian Wheel (TM).
In these kinds of huge run chases, teams batting last have nothing to lose..., so they tend to go out there & bat with freedom.. but as soon as they get close & there's reasonable chance of pulling it off, it tends to affect them & their approach somehow and they end up collapsing or falling short of the mark.
Basically it's the "hope" that gets you!
If Pakistan got real close Today, the same will probably happen again- the pressure/the hope will probably be too much. At least thats what the long history of Test cricket suggests.
Same old. It's all too predictable hmmmYeah I've seen exactly this happen so many times.
