Yes.. coz its not like there are two teams playing or anything. If Pakistan wants to win, they will win, sure.
HB, why don't you just put him on ignore? You just can't help replying to him?

He has gotten under hb's skin for some time now.Strange post that from you HB. They did roll up their sleeves and they did put up a fight. Not sure what you're disputing?

Seems like an OTT response to an innocent post to me.Yes.. coz its not like there are two teams playing or anything. If Pakistan wants to win, they will win, sure.

I think you are arguing the person and not the post. Whatever your differences with LTM, if that post was made by someone else, I think it would have been interpretted differently.I am disputing that it is apparently Pakistan who "decided" to play better. Its not like they wont have tried in the first innings either. To do well, you need a combination of factors. LTM is implying as if it is Pakistan's choice. Easy to see why it was a **** post tbh. Hence I am calling it out.

Or they do this, tire out their bowlers again and force an awkward 4th innings chase. Two way street. All this talk about the declaration!
Or he could have just enforced the follow-on and bowled Pakistan out on the third day! (His bowlers are going to be a lot more tired now). Smith has been following the 'Alistair Cook rule book' on inanely conservative captaincy.
I'm not sure that's relevant. Pretty sure when it gets to the last over, you'd rather the tailender/nightwatchman face the bowling and risk his wicket because if he gets out, the day ends there and Pakistan still have a chance with Shafiq still in. You shield the tailender before that not just to protect his wicket but also because if the guy gets out, you immediately have the next batsman in facing another few uncomfortable deliveries. No that's not true because he was shielding Wahab in the previous over.
