They are looking more at the Sri Lanka tour, better for boozing etc...Man, check out the massive crowds!
Any English posters know if the Barmy Army is out there in any number? Could be very quiet if not.
Ah that's a good point actually. They are looking more at the Sri Lanka tour, better for boozing etc...
Too close to together to do both really.
Good that we won the toss, no real thoughts on team as it is strong whoever was selected as the 4th bowler.
Nah Pakistan has always been Kooka as far as I'm aware. They only use Duke in England.why are they using the Kookaburra ball?
In Pakistan don't they use the duke?
So much for being good tourists then. They are looking more at the Sri Lanka tour, better for boozing etc...

What was so special in his first over? What a start from Cheema. Absolute legend.
England looking ominous....and the Pak bowlers don't seem like breaking through any time soon
Glad we're all in agreement. What a start from Cheema. Absolute legend.
5/0, calm down. Gul is bowling too wide though.England looking ominous....and the Pak bowlers don't seem like breaking through any time soon
Cheema will be Qeema at the end of the dayCheema will be milked all day.
Was talking to someone in England who's played against Cheema a bit in league cricket and said he used to be genuinely quick when he was younger - 145+ - but just couldn't get ahead of the other bowlers around. Slowed down as he got older and cannier.Glad we're all in agreement.
awtaSurprised that Pakistan went in with Cheema, I would have thought they would have gone with one of the left handers to get some variety in the pace attack. Also think Junaid Khan and possibly Wahab Riaz are more talented bowlers than Cheema so a bit dodgy that selection.
Abdur Rauf was genuine 145-150 before he had a back injury obsession with Sami and Rana naved blocked a lot of other deserving cricketers. Was talking to someone in England who's played against Cheema a bit in league cricket and said he used to be genuinely quick when he was younger - 145+ - but just couldn't get ahead of the other bowlers around. Thought it was interesting; he probably gets really annoyed about all the "no pace, domestic journeyman" talk considering he was bowling properly quickly when Abdur Rauf, Rao Iftikhar and Mohammad Asif would've been debuting.
Cribbage, your thirst for knowledge on all things Cricket is both admirable and disturbing. Was talking to someone in England who's played against Cheema a bit in league cricket and said he used to be genuinely quick when he was younger - 145+ - but just couldn't get ahead of the other bowlers around.
