Seriously though, as a neutral tis a real breath of fresh air to see Pak back in business. I think everyone held them a bit in awe in the 90's with 2 W's et al. Even under "defensive" Misbah there's a raw passion to their attitude, and that is a seriously timely tonic for Test cricket. Such a stirring riposte to the IPL circus (and their fortuitous exclusion). They just give off such a different vibe now... before you got a lot of confused signals and didn't know which Pak would show up as the cliche went. It's like someone flicked the "pride" switch and they actually care now.

No; Pothas's point was that Scaly really, really dislikes Panesar and used to whinge about him constantly when he was in the side as a regular.

West Indies and New Zealand are due to tour...if Pakistan can play them at UAE that should be good...

Nowadays, almost all sides are good at home and poor away, difficult to say if a particular side is good or not overall vis-a-vis another team.
The rankings almost depend on the scheduling atm.

Yes the key to fixing that issue is obviously to try and bowl the opposition out for 50 or so, which will obviously be easier to achieve if England's best bowlers bowl a smaller percentage of the overs.
