I think it is because I live on the Gold Coast, and everybody is from everywhere, if you ask somebody who they support, it seemed to me that the two most common answers were Parramatta or St George. I suppose the St George bit is natural when you merge two clubs together, but I think they were mainly St George fans to begin, pre-merger. Anybody else experienced that?

Those two clubs are well supported everywhere, and I believe it just comes down to their dominance in the from the 60's-80's. Obviously a lot of middle aged people grew up supporting the team their father did and given how good the Dragons were they were very popular in the 50's and 60's. Same deal with the Eels in the 80's a lot of people supported them simply because how good they were. I'm guessing fans in Brisbane didn't convert to the Broncos in 88 when they came in as they were happy enough supporting the teams they already were.

Broncos have signed Shane Tronc and Corey Parker might be back a week earlier, things looking up. They're also making a play to have both Hannant & Petero back in the ranks for next season.

Yeah, no way in hell will Brisbane get both Hannant and Petero. They might be in the market for both individually but I doubt they've bargained themselves for actually getting both together, if you get my point.

Tronc was just really unhappy there - ridiculously homesick from all reports. His playing form though was remarkable regardless judging by his stats - Harmison to take note.NRL abolishing the salary cap then?
Seriously tho, as good as he is I reckon the money thrown at Falou wasn't the wisest move ever.
& Tronc's only signed for Wakefield at the start of this season too; what's the dealio there?
