I can't believe I ate the whole thing
First time in ages I've watched a full match. Picked a pretty good one to watch. So gun that Knights got up.

With some very quick calculations I've worked out that CW as a whole is tipping at about 63% this year. I reckon that'd be better than a lot of years.

Oh ffs, only Knights game this year I didn't tip them....
Goes to show you should never tip against your team. Never understood it when people lack the faith. Souths fans excluded.

Had money on the Cowboys at 1-12. Glad the Raiders ran in some late tries.

If Brisbane win and the Roosters lose this Friday (thus ensuring a Broncos home final) it presents a scheduling conflict. The Bledisloe Cup is slated for Suncorp Stadium on Saturday 13 September. Part of that agreement is that there will be no other games played at the Stadium on the Friday night or the Saturday. I guess the alternatives for the Broncos are the Gabba or Skilled Stadium.

Surely we can't have a weekend of NRL where Brisbane aren't favoured with either a Friday or Sunday game?

Next time I drive past Parra stadium, I'm gonna call in and ask for the money back I've spent supporting these douches all these years.

****s.

Interesting, perhaps Brisbane could be moved to the sunday arvo and the 1vs8 moved to friday night. However that then creates the problem that if teams 1 and 2 have already won the sunday game is just a dead rubber because both teams know they will be playing next week anyway.

Think moving it to QIS is the best option.

Disappointing that next week is going to be Burgey's last week of useful contribution to this thread.
Useful? :)

Nicest thing anyone's said about me in ages......

Went to Parra Stadium on Saturday for soccer GFs - young bloke's under 6s side got to play at half time and he jagged a goal - was a good 'un too.

Lucky for Parra I didn't go there Sunday after their effort on Saturday night. Sad that a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds ran around on the stadium with more structure and ticker than Parra have shown all year.

Feel sorry for Hindmarsh. Wouldn't blame him if he just pissed off and left the other muppets to it TBH.

If Brisbane win/Roosters lose, play 4/5 on the Thursday imo.
wouldnt be allowed to happen. Because of the short turn around, it's the same reason teams dont play the monday and then the friday.

It's not going to be a short turnaround though. Both the teams that will finish 4th & 5th, will be playing Friday night (Broncos, Roosters, Dragons), they get a shorter turnaround than when a team plays Sunday/Friday. So if the Broncos do finish 4th, afaic playing thursday night is certainly a better option than Sunday (given the scheduling drama)

Chances are Brisbane would have a similar agreement, and if Brisbane end up with a home final at any other stage as well it'll end up pretty close to a Roar game.

Are the Raiders due to get any of their 743 injured players back before the season ends, or will they have to field 2 interchange players in the finals?

Turns out if Melbourne make it all the way to the preliminary final it will be played at Telstra Dome but only hours after the AFL Grand Final. Yeah bright thinking there, idiots.

Where will Brisbane play if they finish 4th? And why would Melbourne play on the same day as the AFL grand final? Defies logic for mine.
