If I was a NSW selector and/or actually wanted them to win I'd have

1 Kurt Gidley
2 Jarryd Hayne
3 Mark Gasnier
4 Jamie Lyon
5 Brett Stewart
6 Braith Anasta
7 Peter Wallace
8 Luke Bailey
9 Danny Buderus
10 Willie Mason
11 Nathan Hindmarsh
12 Ryan Hoffman
13 Greg Bird
Reserves
14 Anthony Laffranchi
15 Anthony Tupou
16 Luke Douglas
17 Robbie Farah

Bailey, Farah and Gasnier all depends on their current injuries. This is also the reason I've left O'Donnell out, although on form and considering he missed last year I can't see how he makes this team.

Looking at this its hard to see any back ups for the backline, there are a few close floating around but none that are anywhere near the standard Queensland have to pick from.

Also just had a crack at some City vs Country teams, keeping in mind test players will be exempt, meaning I think Gasnier, Mason, Hoffman, Hayne, Bird, Tupou and Hindmarsh wont have to play. O'Donnell and Bailey not considered because of injury.

City
1 Luke Patten
2 Steve Turner
3 Chris Lawrence
4 Ben Pomeroy
5 Eric Grothe
6 Braith Anasta
7 Peter Wallace
8 Luke Douglas
9 Robbie Farah
10 Jason King
11 Paul Gallen
12 Anthony Watmough
13 Feleti Mateo
Reserves
14 Mark Minichiello
15 Chris Heighington
16 Bryce Gibbs
17 Mark O'Meley

Country
1 Kurt Gidley
2 Adrian Purtell
3 Matt Cooper
4 Jamie Lyon
5 Brett Stewart
6 Todd Carney
7 Brett Finch
8 Brent Kite
9 Danny Buderus
10 Brett White
11 Anthony Laffranchi
12 Craig Fitzgibbon
13 Andrew Ryan
Reserves
14 Ben Cross
15 Glenn Stewart
16 Alan Tongue
17 Todd Payten

Luke Patten is one of the more under-rated fullbacks in the comp IMO. Like watching him play. BTW Laffranchi is from Murwillumbah in Northern NSW so he is very much a Country player.

Anyway according to Sky News, Anthony Tupou will leave the Roosters and join the Sharks on a four year deal worth $1.5m.

Decided to replace M. Bowen for K. Gidley in my dream team, how I regret that now.
Don't know how, but Gidley scored more than Bowen for this round.

Still lost my heads up match though.

Shocking round for Simon, only tipping 2, which has brought him back into the middle of the pack, whilst Morgieb & Burgey moved up being the best tipsters with 6 each. Brumbys blind faith for the Dragons certainly isn't helping him, only getting 3 correct this week. I was actually surprised at the number of people who did tip the Dragons though, IIRC they were tipped more than the Dogs!

Round 7 brings us the first lot of byes for the season, so there are only 6 games to tip this week.

Round 7: 25 -27 April 2008
Broncos vs. Rabbitohs Suncorp Stadium
Cowboys vs. Storm Dairy Farmers Stadium
Dragons vs. Roosters ANZ Stadium
Sea Eagles vs. Bulldogs Brookvale Oval
Sharks vs. Wests Tigers Toyota Stadium
Titans vs. Warriors Skilled Park
Bye - Eels, Knights, Panthers, Raiders

I apologise the games aren't in the order they're being played, I'll fix that up later this evening.

What's the go with four teams, or any teams for that matter, having a bye this weekend? Byes make more sense next weekend or one of the Origin weekends.
