No no.

Newcastle will fall in a heap to Brisbane, who nearly put 100 on them last year.

That will open the door for the blue and gold juggernaut to go charging through the Warriors and into 8th place. Then next week, down to Melbourne or over to Brookie (doesn't matter which) where a thumping win for Parra ensues.

Then they win their next three and take out the GF in the greatest turnaround since Wayne Holdsworth's spell in a county game on the 93 Ashes when he had about none for 80, then took six for nothing.

I tell ya, it's a moral.
Like your optisim.  8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) .

Begging for Brisbane and St George to win tonight.

More confident about the latter than the former tbh.

Tony Archer better hope he never meets me. Send Simpson off for 10, you ****. Why not just give the Broncos 6 points? ****-wit.

Now I have to cheer for the Eels of all teams.

Mason gone for the year, good and bad time of the year to do a knee. Good in that you wont miss many games but bad in that they are finals.

Went to the Broncos last night. Was freakin' awesome atmosphere. Hodges, Lockyer, Thaiday & Hunt all had smashing games. Newcastle threw everything at as, but our awesome defensive pressure kept them out. Bring on the Roosters next week.

Really do hate the Dragons! They really needed to win.

Great win for the Broncos, surprised you mentioned Hodges, thought someone like Boyd [not just cause he scored 2] played a lot better then Hodges.

Hard to judge from the stands, but he put on some big hits - his defense was awesome! And as always, he is the most lethal player over 5 metres in the game.

Couldn't believe he started from the bench.

No wonder players blow up. Last week Slater tackles a Newcastle bloke without the ball when the latter is chasing a kick towards the in goal, knocks him over and there's no sin binning.

Bill "Home town" Harrigan comes on the radio and says - no sin bin, because a Melbourne player was back in defence and we couldn't say the Newcastle bloke would have scored.

Last night, Karmichael "Mini Mini" Hunt is tackled and held onto for too long by Simpson, mid way between 1/4 and 1/2 way, and Simpson gets 10 in the bin.

WTF? It has to be both but can't be one or the other. Using Hometown Harrigan's reasoning, Hunt couldn't have got up and scored, he'd been tackled, so why was Simpson sin-binned and not Slater last week?

Begining to think Wade McKinnon had the right idea. It's so obviously inconsistent it's laughable.

NRL is becoming like the EPL - all the 50-50 calls go the way of the big clubs (mine included BTW), more so when they're playing at home. I defy any NRL official to tell me how Simpson can be sin-binned for that, when Slater wasn't for what he did last week.

They're all ****ed.

I didn't get to the game. He started from the bench as he had a virus/stomach upset just before kick off. They showed a shot of him after about 10 mins into the game and he really did look off colour. It was a brave and good performance by Hodges, but I think a few other backs, especially Hunt and Boyd were the best from the back 5.

Yeah agreed. It was all too quick, it should have just been a penalty and get on with the game. Also as the Ch9 commentators said, bring back the 5 minute bin for less serious offences.

Interesting scenario the minor premiership. Manly lead Melbourne by 8 points on F/A and both should record big wins over Penrith and Souths respectively.

I put $10 on Manly for the minor premiership, paying $3 at betfair. Ends up $2.90 after commission.
Sharks will win the minor premiership we all know it :p
