And did I say Slater was right in doing that? Did I say Slater deserved to be off scot-free? Of course not, but Skandalis wasn't completely innocent as you are making it out to be.

For the record I thought Scott Hill was quite lucky to get two weeks. I expected at least 3 or 4.

Canberra are apparently holding a press conference at the moment to announce that Cowboys assistant coach Neil Henry will the the Raiders head coach for 3 years from 2007. interesting move imo, hardly the big name coach the management were promising supporters...

john lang, chris anderson, daniel anderson were all bigger profile options...
i think henry is probably a good choice given the ammount of imput hes had with the cowboys, perhaps he could be a future great coach and could get a lot out of the raiders youngsters...

1000? possibly a slight exaggeration....

i dont think this is an issue anymore, Slater got what he deserves and his serving the time...

Yeah, the worst thing about appointing an unknown is that they are unlikely to attract big name players to the club. Nobody is going to there for the reason that they want to play under Neil Henry. By contrast, top notch players like Ashley Harrison and Braith Anasta were attracted to the Roosters because of a big-name coach, with a good reputation (or at least it was a significant consideration for them apparently).
