welcome to the club, when everyone realises that the average rugby league journalist arent interested in reporting teams if they arent called St George, Parramatta or Newcastle the game will improve...

how did they choke last night? i felt they actually played quite well, a lot of people are still under estimating melbourne but quite simply based on that performance Dragons could have played their best and still not won... It's like saying Souths choked, if you arent up to the standard of your opponents i cant say its choking...

Dragons did choke last year, because they showed over the course of the season that they were generally a better team than the Tigers. Then when it came to the preliminary final, they played poorly and let the Tigers walk into the grand final.

As for this year, I'm not so devastated. Melbourne were obviously a better team than the Dragons all year. They didn't choke this year. They fnished equal 3rd, though beacuse of points difference we came 6th, and all the teams them were better over the course of the 26 rounds. When it came to final time, they totally outclassed grand-finalists Brisbane at Suncorp and walked over Manly. However, last night they came up against an efficient though boring Melbourne side who had all the answers. The Dragons were nowhere near their best last night, but it wasn't one of their self-destructive "flashy" performances. They tried hard, completion rate was good and defence was generally solid. However, Melbourne executed their gameplan perfectly which didn't allow the Dragons to get on top.

Thats my point... People Underestimated the Tigers last year.. We beat the dragons, they didnt lose it...

You cant have it one way for 1 team and another for a different team...

The tigers were underestimated, but as burkey said, St. George were a better team than the tigers for 90% of the year. Whilst the Tigers played great in the prelim, St. George were horrible!

Yeah the Dragons were higher on the ladder BUT look at the head to head games last year... It was close both times..

So to say that they played badly is not fair...

Round 08
Dragons 40 df. Wests Tigers 32

Round 16
Wests Tigers 32 df. Dragons 24

Seventhreceiver is more popular among my mates, even though it makes no sense. I've never heard anyone use the term in commentary.
