How could the Giants lose like that  those @&%$heads!!!!
Loving it myself! :p The Giants continue their meltdown and the Cowboys are now in sole posession of first place in the NFC East. I don't think it's a stretch to say that the Cowboys are now the 2nd best team in the NFC, behind the Bears. And dare I say I like the Boys' chances should they meet in the NFC championship game with the Bears! I know I'm jumping way ahead of myself, but I'm really encouraged about the way Dallas is playing right now.

Watched the Colts play today and I think there is another game on TV tomorrow afternoon so I might sit down and watch that, it's pretty interesting and I'm just learning my way into the game and how it's played etc.

Well now....playoffs are fast approaching! There have been surprises for me this season. New Orleans and San Diego success stories being the most surprising. After that whopping NO gave to my Cowboys, I'm certainly impressed with them. I hope we get a chance to repeat the favor in the playoffs! Speaking of which, Dallas has clinched a playoff spot and can win the NFC East with a win over the Eagles next week. That game is full of intrigue. You have the traditional rivalry of Cowboys vs. Eagles. Then you have the added TO factor. Not only is he going against his former team, but also Jeff Garcia! You think Garcia is just a little bit pumped up about this game?? I expect the Cowboys to win at home and wrap up the division.

By the way, what the hell is wrong with the Colts??? Never has a team gone from being 9-0 to looking like garbage this fast!

My how things have changed in the course of a few weeks. The Cowboys had the division (and possibly the number 2 seed) seemingly wrapped up just a few weeks ago. Then the Romo bandwagon slows down a bit and the Cowboys get embarrassed by the Saints and thoroughly out-played by the Eagles. For the first time this season, there are even some player grumblings about play-calling. And surprise, surprise, TO is one of them!! Of course if he'd catch the damn football, maybe he'd get more passes thrown at him. Speaking of TO, how about the great job his former team and QB have done? The Eagles were left for dead after McNabb went down. They have done a remarkable job of turning things around. Man, I truly hate Philly fans with a deep passion, but I can't help but admire their team. They are true professionals and extreme competitors.

So going into the playoffs, the NFC is still anyone's to have. The AFC is obviously the more dominant league. Chargers, New England, Baltimore, and the Colts. Should make for an intense playoff season!

G DENVER -- Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting early Monday, his limousine sprayed with bullets in downtown Denver.

Team spokesman Jim Saccomano said police called him about 3 a.m. from the scene and told him three people had been shot, and the 24-year-old Williams had been killed. The killing came hours after the Broncos were eliminated from the playoff race.

A little after 2 a.m., a white Hummer limousine was fired on from a vehicle that pulled up along its side, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said. There were at least eight bullet holes in the limo.

Three people in the limo were hit and were taken to hospitals, where one man was pronounced dead, Jackson said. The other man and woman who were shot were not identified.

Jackson said police were searching for suspects and interviewing witnesses.

"We have no motive yet," Jackson said. "We're hoping to talk with witnesses to find out where they were coming from, and that might give us some clues."

Saccomano said he spoke with coach Mike Shanahan and others in the organization. Hours earlier, the Broncos lost to San Francisco 26-23 in overtime.

"Complete shock. We're speechless. It takes words away. A terrible tragedy," Saccomano said.

Pro Bowl player Champ Bailey was among the players and team staff members who gathered at Denver Health Medical Center, where Williams' body was taken.

"He had a big heart and a lot of courage," said Cedric Smith, assistant strength and conditioning coach. "It's a tragedy, a complete tragedy. It's sickening."

Williams teamed with Bailey to give Denver one of the top cornerback tandems in the NFL. Williams finished the season with 88 tackles, 78 of them solo, and four interceptions.

Players and coaches are off Monday. They were scheduled to meet Tuesday before heading home for the offseason.

On Sunday against the 49ers, Williams had three tackles and returned two punts for 50 yards before leaving the game with a shoulder injury late in the second half. After the game he said he was planning to wait a few weeks before determining if he needed an operation.

In December, Williams spoke of his desire to return to his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, this offseason to talk to kids about staying out of gangs.

RIP.

I'm not that big of an NFL fan, but I heard about it on the news and that is a massive tragedy. By reading the article it sounds as though he was very unfortunate.

Thoughts go to his friends, family and team-mates.

Cowboys lose 3 out of 4 going into the playoffs. It seems Romo and the boys peaked too early.

The problem is defence and not ROMO. I was bits of Dallas/Detroit game and the defence was pathetic. Dallas defense has allowed 120+ points in last four games which is really unacceptable.
